  1. I disagree. I think that there's nothing wrong with making a version of a Game that more closely matches the intended vision of a work.
  2. with so much stuff that gets cut away, or stuff that in it's design is a slave to base level sensibilities of the time it was made in, there's no reason to revisit a work and adjust accordingly to what the new goals are supposed to be. and it not as if the Remakes take anything away that wasn't already worthless. It's not a situation of a game being turned into something it's not, merely for shallow brand recognition. they're mostly just adding stuff that improves upon the existing experience.
  3. and frankly, I dont really care for any argument to the contrary, it's not like Capcom is preventing anyone from playing the older versions of each game.
  4. I actually went back and played my favorites back when their remakes were announced and found it refreshing that most of the rubbish had been chopped out.
  5. The older games have a great personal value for one who is interested in them already. But the same could be said for the remakes, like -
  6. lets not get it twisted. Resident Evil Games are not high art, they're not even all that unique. the very definition of a Blockbuster series.
  7. I'd even go so far as to say that I hate certain other Resident Evil fans because I think they're holding the series back, especially as people who enjoyed the older games, give their input into the development of newer games. but Mostly, I'm just worried about some shallow secondary coming in and making it all about Zombies, when it's about more than just that.
