Q - What is this?
A - This is an open world randomizer of Final Fantasy 5 (SNES).

Q - How do I play?
A - Use the downloaded .exe patcher (CareerDayGUI.exe) to patch to a FFV ROM (either original Japanese ROM or a ROM with the RPGe translation applied). The file is safe if your browser gives you an issue. Click on "<path to rom>" to apply a patch, and a new directory will be created with the spoiler log & the new ROM next to the patcher. You will need an emulator or flashcart to play the sfc file.

Q - Where is the newly randomized rom? / I seemed to have started a normal game rather than the randomizer.
A - The console part of the GUI will say where the rom downloaded to. Navigate there to access your rom.

Q - How do I progress and win?
A - Collect the four tablets to enter the void and defeat Neo Exdeath. Use WarpShard (in items) to warp from world to world. Key items to help you progress are locked behind bosses. See the documents located in the main pastebin (https://pastebin.com/kSg3e63p) for reference on what you need to unlock items.

Q - I encountered something that doesn't seem right....

Q - What all is randomized in Career Day?
A - Starting job (with base equipment of job), boss locations, enemy drops (WIP), shop items and types of items sold, key item locations, and treasure chest/crystal/other item contents.

Q - The game/spoiler doc said I got Cure2 when I opened a chest, but I got Cure1 instead. Why?
A - The randomizer works progressively with spells and some abilities. Because of this, when you collect a spell that says <spell>2 but don't have <spell>1, it'll become <spell>1. If you collect two of these, you'll have both <spell>1 and <spell>2. The exception is shopping, where you get what you pay for.

Q - Certain NPCs are not around to give me key items (i.e.- Zokk with Canal Key) or are just plain missing.
A - All required key items for progress are behind specified bosses in the docs. See the main pastebin for the links.

Q - I can't use <ability>!
A - This often comes up when you have just started your seed. If you go check a character's abilities from the menu option "Ability", then that should fix the problem.

Q - There's just so much and I'm not sure where to start and it's so overwhelming and...
A - Understand that this is a game mod that can take time to learn, almost as much time as learning a new game itself. Don't feel bad for the confusion. Reference the spoiler doc for the first few times to help guide you if you're looking for specific items. Go to towns and dungeons and loot wherever you can.
