  56. The chaotic aftermath of an alien attack has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force.
  57. Like many others I had high expectations for Falling Skies. I love anything sci-fi and to see Spielberg&#39;s name on it, I figured it was a sure thing. Sad to say...thus far I&#39;m disappointed.<br/><br/>The characters and their lines are painfully cliché. It&#39;s cringe-worthy to watch. If the acting was better, it could possibly make up for the fact that #thishasallbeendonebeforemanymanytimes&quot;. I haven&#39;t seen any fresh ways of looking at the post-apocalyptic, alien invasion story line, so far with this series.<br/><br/>The whole thing feels like &quot;Independence Day&quot; meets &quot;Seventh Heaven.&quot;<br/><br/>Adding insult to injury, TNT runs commercials at what seems like 5- minute intervals. I&#39;m sure it&#39;s not quite that often, but it does feel that way.<br/><br/>I&#39;m really surprised it&#39;s received 6.7 stars so far. I hope it eventually lives up to them.
  58. First of all, this idea has been done to death. Literally everything in this show was taken from other shows. The idea of a few humans banding together and defending themselves from a seemingly unstoppable force, coming from shoes liked The Walking Dead. The walkers are similar to Star Wars. It&#39;s full of stock characters like the father who is the real leader of the group, even though he really isn&#39;t, and then they made him even more unoriginal by giving him a missing son. Then there&#39;s the understanding doctor, the &quot;tough&quot; girl who learned to fire a gun, the outlaw who makes him own rules. Lame right? ut you can&#39;t forget the tough military type who isn&#39;t concerned with the people, only the mission. It also doesn&#39;t help that an Atari has better graphics then this show. And one more thing, where did they find the Russian AK47&#39;s? I understand that it is an insurgents gun, but only on the other side of the world. It just tells me that they didn&#39;t care to research these things. I doubt this show will make it to season two.
