As she grew up her mother taught her how to act and sing, while her father had his own dance studio and taught her how to dance. When she was 11 she had her own YouTube channel that she did covers on and she had almost 3M subscribers and she was famous for her covers. When she was in school she was pressured into auditioning for the universal auditions for a company in South Korea, and she did the auditioned and failed for one of the big companies. She was a little depressed but she continued her Youtube videos. When she turned 16 she was scouted by Pledis Entertainment and she became a trainee there and debuted with REPLAY
