- Vignoble- Rock gym, Pierre Lamont. Rustic town built around what was once a bandit fort, now famous for winemaking. Plenty of ancient battlegrounds nearby, with a number of ghost pokemon to match. Home to a set of standing stones where ancients would read the movements of birds to divine the future. The forest is home to a number of old fortifications, which children from town love to play in. Holds a Renaissance Fair twice a year.
- Pierre Lamont- The Rock-Solid Somellier (Shuckle, Tyrantrum, Sudowoodo, Golem, Rhydon, Corsola)
- ---
- Corsair Town- A port city, famous as a den of pirates during the age of exploration. Uses the reputation as a tourist trap. Attractions include the Lafitte Pirate Museum, hundreds of chatot, and one of Kalos's only amusement parks.
- Captain Eddie Lafitte, an ex-navy officer, runs a pirate museum which doubles as the town's gym. He uses flying-type Pokemon that were commonly seen on ships as a means of boarding and day-to-day survival. His gym challenges involve pirate life, including a buried treasure hunt in a simulated desert island.
- Captain Lafitte- The Sky-High Buccaneer (Chatot, Skarmory, Peliper, Mantine, Farfetch'd, Gliscor)
- ---
- Saveurville- A seaside town famous for its bakeries, ancient ruins, and a burgeoning population of Squirtle. Almost all of the construction here is repurposed marble homes. Home of the Eternal Lighthouse, an ancient lighthouse lit by flocks of roosting Talonflame. It's said that in the nearby forest, ancient rituals took place
- The gym leader is Keahi, an Alolan immigrant who came to Kalos to perfect her culinary skills. She decided she liked the food better and stuck around. While she's short tempered, she's quite friendly to everyone around her. She's known to give out free samples of her work to challengers, win or lose.
- Pattisier Keahi- Sweet Victory! (Incineroar @ Firium Z, A-Muk, A-Persian, M-Tyranitar, Zoroark, Bisharp)

- Argent Town- Ground Gym, Monty Siegel. Once a booming silver mine, it finally dried up about 150 years ago. Monty's great-great-grandfather, Carlo Siegel, built the Game Corner that would be come the Argent Gym. Since, it has become a major entertainment center of Kalos, having massive film festivals throughout the year, as well as the Argent Grand Prix, a series of races around its winding cliffside roads. It's said that in ancient times, a titan of white marble fell off the cliff and into the ocean, creating the largest natural harbor in Kalos.
- Monty Siegel's family has run the Argent Game Corner for 150 years, and general pillars of the community. While most assume the casino owners with the vaguely Italian accent are mobsters, they're actually completely clean, kind-hearted people. Monty is fairly gruff, and makes a point of not allowing children into the game corner- though he lets them buy the prizes for straight cash. Uses high-power, low-accuracy moves.
- Corner King Monty Siegel- Take a Gamble on Victory! (Nidoking, Garchomp, Mamoswine, Diggersby, Krookodile, Rypherior)

- Veiuxville- Ghost gym, Graves. Built over a direct entrance to the catacombs, a series of tombs and caverns that stretch beneath all of Kalos. Underwater caves can be found throughout the swamps and wetlands surrounding it, which are decorated with ancient cave paintings depicting now-extinct Pokemon. Of particular note is Kalos's largest archaeological dig, still ongoing after 100 years.
- Professor Desmond Graves is well into his 90's, at the least, and is the favorite professor of three generations of Lumiose University graduates. He grew up in and around the Vieuxville dig, and found himself fascinated by the stories the items retrieved told about Kalos's past. He jokes that his destiny was set from the moment he saw a broken vase. His Ghost pokemon are by and large recovered from the dig sites and surrounding area, and he spoils them endlessly.

- Sauvage Town
- Built out of an ancient menagerie, now a Safari Zone. The city is, effectively, a giant greenhouse, covered in an impossibly massive glass dome with simulated environments from deserts to jungles. All the Pokemon within are descended from gifts belonging to Kalos's royal families throughout history. Townsfolk live in overgrown brick houses near the center, originally belonging to servants that tended the Pokemon. Within the area is the Hotel Imperiale, the exceedingly opulent vacation home of the royal family before the revolution. Now it's a 5-star hotel that caters to professional trainers.
- Professor Yew is a no-nonsense scientist that studies Pokemon behavior in artificial environments. The massive safari zone was a natural choice for her work, offering a look at Pokemon that spent thousands of years adapting to it. She uses highly adaptable normal-type Pokemon, tailoring their movesets to whatever needs to be done.

- Dorey Town
- Famous for its literary history (included noted science fiction pioneers and romance novelists), Dorey Town was built in a wasteland where the Ultimate Weapon hit. Most of the greenery is imported, and it's a fairly sterile looking town even today. Hugo Camus uses artificial Pokemon or those resurrected by science, having written over 40 sci-fi novels over the last 50 years.
- Hugo Camus, the gym leader, uses artificial Pokemon as a way of inspiring his work. Much of it involves advanced technology and genetic engineering, and having low-maintenance Pokemon does wonders for stress.

- Mielsermer- a bustling city with a lot of greenspace. Home of globetrotting adventurer Rucher DuCanard, and center of his business empire. The riverside town is famous for honey and silk, both products of its massive population of bug Pokemon. Galvantula and Charjabug provide much of the electricity here.
- Rucher DuCanard, gentleman and explorer, uses rare bugs from around the world. Some unholy fusion of Scrooge McDuck and Indiana Jones.
