- Verlux vs MTG
- Win conditions I found viable for Doffy
- * His strings will kill Mew if they land
- * His strings, or at least his Red Hot Bundle, is hilariously fast and difficult to dodge
- * Parasito can easily restrain Mewtwo
- Win conditions I found viable for Mewtwo
- * Mew can become invisible
- * Mew’s shield can block the Strings
- * Mew’s TK wave could also counter the strings
- * Mewtwo’s energy projection is enough to damage Doffy, and when combined with the previous stuff gives him the win
- So Parasito is a solid win condition. To counter this MTG showed a calc where Mewtwo can lift 98 tons as a high end. Now while good, that’s not good for this tier. In fact even a very basic assumption about the Golden Ball would get a number in the 400 metric ton range. However Verlux never really went in depth as hard as MTG, and the Golden Ball’s weight would require doing some calc to get a number. However that and the building breaking showing honestly gives me the impression that if Mewtwo could break out, it would be either incredibly taxing if it was even possible.
- The barrier argument MTG brings up just, isn’t good in my view. Not when one of the first things linked for the String’s cutting power is blowing through dozens of feet of stone without any resistance. The barrier being damage by a “Building Tier” attack doesn’t bold well either since in his scan we see the large AoE scream crack the shield and push Mewtwo back. So what will a far more focused and concentrated string attack do?
- The spoon is a pretty solid weapon and I can see it doing something against the clone if he gets in an unexpected hit. But with Haki and general danger sense I’m not seeing it. Finally I’m not convienced that the spoon is sharp enough to cut Doffy’s strings considering Law’s over-tier cutting power can’t slice through them.
- Over I saw nothing from MTG that convinces me that the strings won’t just be a strong and hard win condition. Even if Parasito can be broken out of, I can’t see Mew doing well against the Strings, against the Red Hot Bundle, against Doffy’s endurance, and against his clone.
