  1. NAME: Jack Bright
  2. SUPERHERO NAME: Stakeout
  3. APPEARANCE:
  4. POWERS: Magic monster-hunting gear passed down through his family since the middle ages, silver bullets, and pure unrelenting gumption. Also a large amount of income.
  5. HISTORY: Jack's family has a long history with the supernatural forces of the world, dating back to a contract with Pope Celestine V. In order to seem like he was doing SOMETHING competent with the papacy, Celestine made an offer to some French undesirables, suggested by King Charles II. The Bright family- highwaymen, drunks, and pirates who hassled French forces- would be given a yearly stipend of gold to fund their own little Crusade. While those before him had instituted Crusades against the enemies of the Church, Celestine gave the Brights carte blanche to hunt the enemies of humanity: The creatures of the night. Vampires, werewolves, demons, warlocks, aliens, dragons- hunting these unnatural beasts and more would result in Celestine looking great for dealing with the threat of the supernatural, and the noble sacrifice of a family of brigands would minimize the impact on the church's coffers and deal with a threat to the French crown's trade. What they didn't count on was the fact that the Brights were really good at killing monsters. So good, in fact, that for over 900 years, no Pope has found the need to abolish the Bright Family's stipend. In fact, the stipend has been increased twice to account for the growing family.

  7. We now come to Jack Bright, the youngest son of the family. He's slain six vampires, put a dozen ghosts to rest, and killed fourteen werewolves. Now he's come to Washington to hunt down Bigfoot. Well, hunt down is a little severe- he just has to make sure Bigfoot isn't hurting anybody. Of course, before he could get started with his search, the crazy fog happened, and now he's trying to figure out what that's about.
