Dwarves

Dwarves come in several variants.

First, let's talk about the Deep Dwarves.

Deep Dwarves are easily the most powerful and well known of the three Dwarven races, and are the majority found throughout Kalimourne. The Deep Dwarves, true to their name, live in vast underground networks that double as both gigantic mines and sprawling cities. Cold and brusque, the Deep Dwarves are hard to connect with from outside races, but are nevertheless jovial party lovers once you break past their hard exterior.

Deep Dwarves take great pride in their hair, often keeping it well groomed and decorated with braids and beads. The men always grow their beards out for this reason; a beardless man in Deep Dwarf society is considered a sign of madness, and are generally killed out of paranoia.

Next is the Desert Dwarves.

The Desert Dwarves are found throughout Malibor and actually have their own separate kingdom that they consider separate from the Malibourne government. Desert Dwarves are explorers at heart, and make their homes by renovating various lost ruins found deep beneath the shifting sands of Malibor. Every day, the Desert Dwarves continue tunneling and adding to their gigantic network in hopes of finding more ruins to add onto their ever-expanding domain.

Desert Dwarves are big on trade, and will attempt to do anything to make a quick buck.

Next up we have the Zimian Dwarves.

Wood Dwarves are the only kind of Dwarf you can find naturally living above the surface. They also happen to be the only race that doesn't see as much value in their hair, and as such will sometimes outright shave themselves bald. Zimian Dwarves live in large wood homes and are known to be the only race of Dwarf that are capable of producing Druids, who often act as priests or important figures of their society. Natural warmongers, the Wood Dwarves are notorious for pillaging just about anything nearby.

Full on Dwarven sorcerers are very uncommon. Deep Dwarven sorcerers generally use their magic solely for the purpose of maintaining their technology.

Dwarven Druids are strictly a Wood dwarf thing.
