PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: really bloody tall, like around 5'8". lean and toned. tanned skin, and long dark hair which she keeps braided. round, childish sort of face but sharp eyes and thin lips. faint scar just over her top lip. has a small tattoo of a raven to her hip (though that's probably illegal as well).

FRIENDS/ACQUAINTANCES/SIGNIFICANT OTHERS: she sleeps around a lot, but has no concrete significant other. most of her "friends" are thieves and other people who run illegal joints (like clubs, or artists/musicians, that type of deal). no one in specific though because i'm a lazy fuck i'm really sorry i'll get back to this if it's important okay!!

PAST: born in brazil, yet fled with her family when she was around five to the US (or whichever country this is set in) because damn if the US doesn't get flooded with refugees and do something stupid then is it even the US? anYWAYS. it was really hard for her family to adjust to life there because it was pretty much chaos (too many people, not a lot of resources, and lots of violence). her mother was killed in the chaos. she and her father managed to scrape up a life on the streets. he did any sort of manual labour all the while trying to teach rafa about the world the best he could.

rafa p much grew up learning to survive however she could. she was sort of a dynamic duo with her father; he never discouraged her from stealing because who has time for that bs. they scrounged up whatever they could together, and are really close. taught her how to fight and defend herself, and to never let anyone take from her. however, once he gets sick, there comes a bit of a strain on their relationship because he's too stubborn to listen to her and lay low instead of working himself too hard. once she was old and skillful enough, took part in pretty much anything shady (stealing from the rich and privileged, cheating people in games, even fist fights). her first kill was when a man refused to give her meds for her father.

// well, i'd like to see her start of with not a lot of focus on how ambitious she really is --it only boils down to her and her dad. however, if in the course of the story, he were to die, i can see her becoming even more reckless/self-destructive than she is. would probably loose her sense of purpose until she realizes that she IS good at certain things and heck, maybe she won't change the damn world, but she could make at least something good happen.
