- Album: MUNA
- Silk Chiffon: 10 Smart move by ratcom to approve the Boygenius rate, now those three are guaranteed to show up to the reveal and perform this
- What I Want: 8 Put youtube link to Homer Simpson lesbian bar scene here
- Runner's High: 10 Damn, what a track. Releases the tension outstandingly, I imagine this would kill live
- Home By Now: 7 A little CHVRCHES in places... MVNA I suppose
- Kind Of Girl: 6 Thought she sang "not some kind of minor trope who's never gonna change that soap" which honestly took too much mind space to really listen to this song
- Handle Me: 8 Strong moody tone with some great little flourishes here and there to keep it interesting
- No Idea: 6 Yeah, I can definitely hear the 90s boy band influence
- Solid: 6 This is gonna go great with my self-insert Solid Snake fic
- Anything But Me: 8 Just solid good-mood anthemic indie pop (Woah! That's the name of this rate!)
- Loose Garment: 9
- Shooting Star: 5 I know they shot for a Coldplay climax and imo missed, but I still appreciate the shot attempt
- Album: Surrender
- Overdrive: 5 Did like the guitar coming in to help bolster the bridge, couldn't save it though
- That's Where I Am: 6 This one was a bit better beforehand, but a second straight second where a single moment carries it to a higher score (though I do also like the outro). Hold up she got David Byrne and the dude from The Walkmen in the MV?!
- Want Want: 7 Hype chorus
- Anywhere With You: 9 Wish it didn't lose a little steam after the hype of the drums kicking in, but damn does it make it up and then some
- Horses: 10 It's horse time
- Be Cool: 8
- Shatter: 11 If this wins, does Florence also get a win? It would feel like if you got traded off a team halfway through the season and then that team wins the championship, and you get sent a ring. Like yeah, you contributed so you deserve some acknowledgement, but doesn't it feel the slightest bit hollow around your finger? Of course, one ring is better than none. Anyway, huge cathartic power anthem, love it
- Begging For Rain: 8 Good melody and she sells it, but the intro and outro were easily the most interesting parts, wish those had more of a presence throughout
- I've Got a Friend: 6 Proof I should never tell songwriter friends any of my embarrassing secrets ever
- Honey: 6 Sounds big but not fully clicking with me as much as I'd expect
- Symphony: 7
- Different Kind of World: 5 Not that I don't love a good soft to loud switch-up, just wish the soft part was better
- Album: Dance Fever
- King: 9 Builds oh so wonderfully
- Free: 8 Wasn't too huge on it at first, but I'm a sucker for a big transcendent bridge
- Choreomania: 7 Choreomania sounds like the name of some long forgotten DDR ripoff game on the PS2
- Back In Town: 5 At least it's only about the second most songwritten about U.S. place
- Girls Against God: 6 Commit heresy, queen
- Dream Girl Evil: 10 Oh noooo the magic pixie dream girl I created in my head just became a fully fleshed out person - flaws, quirks, and all - nooooo
- Prayer Factory: 6 I see why this is so short, but also, bruh
- Cassandra: 10 Oh boy, this picks up on the third verse and goes to some fun places
- Heaven Is Here: 5
- Daffodil: 7 This used to be a lower score but I got to the hype ass ending with them hammering on the drums
- My Love: 8 A good dance track in the Florence sound
- Restraint: 5 Incredible guest verse by a clicker from The Last of Us
- The Bomb: 9 Beautiful instrumentals
- Mermaids: 6 Sounds big, but never really hooked me
- Morning Elvis: 7
- Album: Laurel Hell
- Valentine, Texas: 5 Texas Reznikoff outsold
- Working For The Knife: 7 I know Silent Shout was a big deal but damn maybe they should lay off a little
- Stay Soft: 8
- Everyone: 4 Wish the song was more interesting, because there's a lot of potential in Mitski ruminating on her rise to fame
- Heat Lightning: 6 The keys coming in was gorgeous
- The Only Heartbreaker: 8 I'm a heartbreaker... my name... Mitski.
- Love Me More: 10 I mean, if she's gonna keep in the synthpop realm, hope more of them hit hard like this
- There's Nothing Left for You: 7 Lovely pulsing beat that comes to life at just the right time
- Should've Been Me: 10 Kinda reminded me of Hall & Oates' Maneater with the way they use the bassline. Excellent, definitely a much needed lively track
- I Guess: 4 ... I guess
- That's Our Lamp: 7 The happy music coming in on "you just don't love me" is peak comedy
- BONUS TRACKS
- Sometimes: 3 Wish I could've seen myself get actively mad in real time as I slowly realized this was a cover
- Bodies: 7 Desperately need a count of how many Bodies songs we've rated in the past twelve months
- iris: 7 I have a soft spot for the original, and this feels like a pretty straightforward & solid cover
- Dawns: 10 Future main pop boy Zach Bryan coming for ya with eleventy-million songs available to rate
- Just A Girl: 4 Good news! I have finally read the rate post and now know the bonus rate theme is partially covers! Bad news! I still physically recoiled at the start!
- Morning Elvis - Live: 7 Dope album art, though unfortunately not even the most memorable in this bonus rate [glares at iris]
- glide: 7
- This Is A Life: 7 Who would have guessed David Byrne would show up twice in this rate
- END
