A message from a real Suyu developer & an AMA

Hello all. I'm kksowo - you can call me kk. I have been a developer on the Suyu team since day one.

Here's the deal: Suyu is no longer gonna be developed by us. "Crimson_Hawk" otherwise known as sig_bus might say otherwise, but here's a fun fact: Bus isn't in control of the dev team. He doesn't even know what's going on with the team now ironically. I can confirm that now that I participate in a Discord of about 30-40 people that were basically the team working on Suyu.

Also, a quick note - the project wasn't just developed by anybody. There were a lot of mature developers working on the project, and for those who were indeed on the younger side and were labeled as "developers" - I can assure you that such people have done a lot of work on the project too. The developer team wasn't made up of random people.

First, I'm gonna explain what's going on with Suyu.

As of today, the project, at least within the current developer team is no longer a thing.

There are a few things at play here:

- Bus was a bad leader. Constantly took credit for things, made rash decisions, and took little to no responsibility for them (Princess Peach Showtime! fix for example that was swiftly reverted by another dev after it was found that the code was taken from Sudachi without any credit or auditing). He didn't help at all with the organization or management of the team as a whole, but mostly just pushed out his ego and acted like a boss.

- We are officially leaving Suyu due to its radioactivity (For example, the Switch SDK has been used illegally within the previous Yuzu developer team, which effectively makes the whole code radioactive. The only way we can fix that is if Nintendo specifically tells us what they have a problem with, but obviously, that won't happen).

- Because of the source's radioactivity, most of the developer team wants NOTHING to do with the project because of liability concerns.

Second - What's gonna happen with the developer team?

- In a nutshell, we have decided to group together into a new community where we'll work on different projects. They might be related to emulation, they might not. It's the best way to go about it because we already know each other, our skills and we can manage things better knowing who knows what and decisions going through people we know are trustworthy. THIS WILL NOT BE A CONTINUATION OF SUYU OR A YUZU FORK IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM. Ways to participate in it will be announced later on.
