  1. Contains mild VORE (OH GOD) and lots of cheese.
  2.
  3. >"They're- They're going to rescue me."
  4. >Her smile is more of a snarl than anything, but it's a genuine smile just the same
  5. >Well
  6. >An indicator of pleasure, at least
  7. >"You know it to be a lie, Anonymous."
  8. >"They have to!"
  9. >You could hear the desperation in your own voice
  10. >A week in this fucking cave
  11. >No light
  12. >No food
  13. >Only disgusting, cloudy water to drink
  14. >"You know you're lying, Anonymous. I just enjoy you struggling to come to terms with it."
  15. >"They have to. They HAVE to."
  16. >"Anonymous, they think you're dead. Besides, rebuilding from my little adventure is occupying all of their time. You're stuck here. With me."
  17. >You resist the urge to start crying
  18. >Your mental state isn't exactly stable right now, but you have to try
  19. >You're not going to give her the satisfaction
  20. >"They'll come for me."
  21. >She just smiles
  22. >"They're my friends! They have to!"
  23. >She laughs
  24. >"Friends? Anonymous."
  25. >Her voice is full of mock concern
  26. >It seems to echo off the sides of your skull, each syllable pounding pain into your brain
  27. >You- You're not well, you're not- Not thinking straight, but-
  28. >Maybe the water?
  29. >Yeah
  30. >The water
  31. >There was something in the water!
  32. >THE FUCKING WATER!
  33. >You shake your head, desperately trying to snap out of it
  34. >You'd been getting those little panic attacks ever since you came here
  35. >"Are you still deluding yourself with that nonsense? To them, you're not a friend anymore, you're a martyr. The one who gave his life to stop my invasion."
  36. >You stare at her
  37. >Your eyes still hurt from the light
  38. >They're probably bloodshot
  39. >"...You're right, aren't you?"
  40. >You didn't think it was possible, but her grin gets wider
  41. >"Well. It's nice to see that you've accepted reality. Although..."
  42. >She takes a step towards you
  43. >"What happens next might be a bit harder to swallow."
  44. >Her mouth opens
  45. >Those fucking teeth
  46. >The stuff of nightmares
  47. >"You see, you really were a Martyr, weren't you? Your immunity to magic did totally ruin my invasion."
  48. >"Which, of course, is why you're alive."
  49. >Fuck
  50. >Things are about to get even worse, aren't they?
  51. >"As you are no doubt aware, a Changeling with magic immunity would be an invaluable asset to the hive. You understand this, correct?"
  52. >"Yeah. So what are ya gonna do, fuck me?"
  53. >You just barely had enough bravado to make that joke
  54. >She even laughs at it
  55. >"Oh, heavens, no. Besides, your offspring wouldn't be true Changelings. They might retain other human characteristics. Like your ability for independent thought. Now, I can't have that."
  56. >You really don't like where this is going
  57. >"No, Anonymous, I want you. I want you to be a Changeling."
  58. >She keeps taking steps towards you
  59. >You huddle backwards, against the wall
  60. >"Thankfully, I'm a Queen. We have certain biological properties that make my desires possible."
  61. >What was she-
  62. >She licks her lips
  63. >Your heart sinks
  64. >No
  65. >No please
  66. >Anything but that
  67. >"You will be a Changeling for me. Very soon."
  68. >Please
  69. >Please god let Celestia rescue you
  70. >Or Twilight
  71. >Or Luna
  72. >or fucking Discord
  73. >Just-
  74. >You can't be here
  75. >This can't happen to you
  76. >Please
  77. >"Enjoy your stay."
  78. >The monster lunges at you, jaw expanding to ridiculous proportions in an impossibly small amount of time
  79. >You feel the wet flesh encasing your body, pulsating and contracting around your flesh
  80. >You try to scream but no noise comes out
  81. >Before you know it, your face hits some kind of liquid.
  82. >Stomach fluid
  83. >You feel your legs being forced next to you, but you can't see anything
  84. >It's pitch-dark
  85. >Soon you're forced into the fetal position within her
  86. >You can't hear anything
  87. >You can't see anything
  88. >The only sensation is the writhing of the walls of her stomach, and the horrible feeling of that liquid on your flesh
  89. >Pain
  90. >You don't feel pain
  91. >You are pain
  92. >You are agony
  93. >Time loses all meaning
  94. >So does fear, or hope
  95. >The only thing in your mind is pain
  96. >You feel your very flesh being burnt away, constantly
  97. >Agony of the highest degree
  98. >You're fully aware of all of it
  99. >You keep waiting for the switch to flick
  100. >For your brain to turn off, replaced with the hive-mind of a Changeling drone
  101. >For you to mercifully lose consciousness, forever
  102. >To die
  103. >You are pain
  104. >A pain that needs to die
  105. >You can't handle this agony
  106. >Your body loses all form as your mind, cruelly, stays intact
  107. >You have no idea what she's doing to you
  108. >All you know is that it hurts
  109. >It
  110. >Fucking
  111. >Hurts
  112. >Then, very suddenly, it stops.
  113. >You would sigh in relief if you could sigh
  114. >Finally
  115. >You're dead
  116. >If her next invasion is anything like the last one, your friends will soon join you
  117. >Not the ending you wanted to your time in Equestria, maybe, but an ending nonetheless
  118. >An ending to the pain
  119. >An ending to you
  120. >Then you feel again
  121. >Feel touch
  122. >Feel things around your body
  123. >Wet things
  124. >Pulsating things
  125. >Muscles
  126. >Thr- Throat muscles!
  127. >No!
  128. >NO!
  129. >YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD
  130. >YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT ANYMORE YOU CAN'T TAKE IT YOU CAN'T
  131. >Your thoughts are interrupted as you take a breath
  132. >Your first in who knows how long
  133. >There's ground underneath you
  134. >Hard, stone ground
  135. >But it's ground
  136. >And you can feel it
  137. >The sensation of hearing is even more of a shock
  138. >"Stand, Changeling!"
  139. >Chrysalis
  140. >Oh, god
  141. >The ultimate hell
  142. >Staying trapped in your own mind as your new drone body did her bidding
  143. >Killed your friends
  144. >Didn't you suffer enough?
  145. >What did you do to-
  146. >You're not standing up
  147. >You're ignoring her orders
  148. >Maybe you couldn't stand yet?
  149. >But...
  150. >You didn't feel strain on your muscles
  151. >If you even had muscles anymore
  152. >You seemed to be just laying there
  153. >"STAND!"
  154. >...You're still not moving.
  155. >Your eyes slowly open
  156. >No, not your eyes
  157. >Your vision didn't look like this
  158. >It wasn't this clear
  159. >Every single millimeter of the stone standing out at you
  160. >Cracks and crevices and dust and stones, all in front of you, in perfect detail
  161. >"UP, DONE!"
  162. >You're suddenly aware that you know where she is
  163. >Not just a general direction
  164. >The exact location
  165. >Behind you
  166. >About half a meter from your legs
  167. >Her voice is coming from just about one and a half meters up, where her mouth is
  168. >And you can see the rest of her, too
  169. >Your mind constructing where the rest of her body is from prior information about her dimensions
  170. >"STAND! STAND!"
  171. >You place a hand on the ground in front of you
  172. >Your limbs are jet-black
  173. >Covered in chitin
  174. >It doesn't even phase you
  175. >You stand, chitin-covered feet hitting the stone floor
  176. >Your body is heavier
  177. >It has more weight to it, somehow
  178. >You suddenly become aware that you have wings
  179. >A pair of them
  180. >Insect-like, on your back
  181. >You flutter them experimentally
  182. >...You can fly.
  183. >You can feel it in your bones
  184. >"Ah, good, drone. I thought I would have to punish your insubordination. Now, turn to face me."
  185. >You ignore her command
  186. >"Turn."
  187. >You stay, staring at the ceiling
  188. >Your hands clench into fists
  189. >"TURN!"
  190. >You spin to face her, staring at her eyes
  191. >She looks at you uneasily
  192. >"Drone. Who do you serve?"
  193. >You look at her
  194. >And, slowly, a smile spreads across your face
  195. >Somewhere, at least a hundred miles away, there's a plaque commemorating your sacrifice
  196. >Somewhere one of your friends is laying in their bed, trying not to cry
  197. >Somewhere Celestia is cursing herself for not being able to save the one who saved her kingdom
  198. >Somewhere, Luna is waking up from a nightmare, which she quickly realizes is all too real; a world where you died in a horrible invasion that she was powerless to stop
  199. >You can taste every event
  200. >Every action
  201. >Every drop of love being poured out on you right now
  202. >It's... Satisfying
  203. >Not physically so
  204. >As far as you can tell, you don't feed on this to survive
  205. >But you can feed on it
  206. >You can draw power from it
  207. >"ANSWER ME!"
  208. >You just stand there, relishing in the feeling
  209. >You can smell the fear on Chrysalis
  210. >The subtle mixture of sweat and hormones that indicates that she's about to go into a fight-or-flight response
  211. >All of your senses are touching the world around you, augmented to hundreds of times what they were before
  212. >"ANSWER!"
  213. >"Myself, Chrysalis."
  214. >Your voice isn't normal
  215. >It's layered
  216. >As if hundreds of versions of you are talking at once
  217. >Chrysalis' ears fall back on her head
  218. >Her face droops
  219. >Her posture visibly slumps
  220. >"But- That's-"
  221. >"The predictable outcome, Chrysalis."
  222. >You take a step towards her
  223. >"That's not possible! I consumed you! I turned you into the weakest-willed of drones!"
  224. >"No, you didn't."
  225. >You keep advancing
  226. >Now she's the one being backed into a wall
  227. >"Let me guess. You use some kind of ultimate arcane magic to convert drones? Something forbidden, so evil that you're the only creature who would dare to perform it?"
  228. >Her eyes tell you that you have the truth
  229. >"You thought my immunity wouldn't apply. And, of course, if it did, you could just kill me. But no, I was transformed, I was shaped."
  230. >You reach out a hand to touch her face, tilting it upwards
  231. >"Oh, my silly little pony. You saw Twilight teleport me up to your weapons. Was that not magic?"
  232. >"But- But you are-"
  233. >"Immune to magic. Selectively. You see, any spell that would harm me instead has no effect."
  234. >"My- my ma-"
  235. >"Your magic worked on me, but also selectively. I mean..."
  236. >You inhale deeply
  237. >"How could this body possibly be harmful to me? All my senses are augmented, my physical abilities enhanced. You have even granted me flight. And, presumably..."
  238. >You concentrate
  239. >A feeling somewhat like water slowly moves down your body, in a ring
  240. >Soon, you're looking her directly in the eyes
  241. >The spitting image of her
  242. >"Ah, yes."
  243. >Your voice mimics hers exactly
  244. >"Transformation."
  245. >You revert back
  246. >"And..."
  247. >A green light appears in the room
  248. >You smirk
  249. >"Magic, as well? Well, thank you."
  250. >Chrysalis is trying to remain calm, but you can tell that she's slipping
  251. >As she should be
  252. >"It may have been unpleasant, sure, but... Chrysalis, you did no harm to my body. You augmented it."
  253. >A green glow surrounds her body as you lift her into the air in front of you
  254. >"Perfected it, even. In fact, the only thing you tried to harm was my mind, but, as you can see..."
  255. >You flash your razor-sharp teeth at her again
  256. >"That had no effect."
  257. >"You- AAGGGGHHHHH!"
  258. >You can see her horn lit up
  259. >Desperately trying to release herself from you
  260. >"Chrysalis. Do you honestly think that will work?"
  261. >"I- I AM A QUEEN! NO DRONE, NO MATTER HOW POWERFUL-"
  262. >You silence her with a thought
  263. >"Chrysalis, I am not a drone. That much should be obvious."
  264. >You stand erect, back arched slightly, neck tilted to look upwards
  265. >"I am a king."
  266. >She thrashes out, desperately, against your magic
  267. >You make a quiet noise of amusement.
  268. >"Chrysalis, even in a vacuum, with no outside influence, a fight between me and you is a fight between a sandcastle and the mightiest ocean. But, in our current situation..."
  269. >Your eyes close as you take it in
  270. >Love
  271. >Not just an emotional force anymore, but a physical one
  272. >It fuels you, supports you
  273. >Empowers you
  274. >"Chrysalis, I gave my life for them. I performed the ultimate act of friendship. I sacrificed myself for my friends."
  275. >You face her
  276. >"They love me, Chrysalis. They're sad that I am gone -- that they think I am gone -- but they love me."
  277. >You place a hand on her cheek again, rubbing your finger against her dark skin
  278. >"That much love, freely given? Chrysalis... Oh, I do not wish to be arrogant, but I do believe that Celestia herself would crumble to pieces before me right now if I wished. All the most vile monsters in Tartarus, crumbled to dust. Even if Tirek were to drain all other magical beings alive now, how could he stand to me? I am immune to all magic that would harm me, and, well, my physical well-being is secure, I can tell you that."
  279. >You lick your lips as she struggles to get out of your grip
  280. >"My foolish little pony. You've created something so far above you that I can barely recognize your existence."
  281. >You move your head next to hers
  282. >Your lips inches from her ears
  283. >Your voice is the barest whisper
  284. >"And you know the worst part?"
  285. >You can feel her trembling in your hand
  286. >"I won't use it for evil. I won't take over Equestria. I won't follow in your disgusting, vile footsteps."
  287. >You push her head forward as you yourself move back, pressing your forehead against hers
  288. >"You created me. And you sicken me. Don't you see what you are?"
  289. >You stare at her for a moment
  290. >"You're a parasite that preys on the most pure of emotions, an animal. A bug."
  291. >"I have no time for bugs."
  292. >You drop her onto the floor, where she lies, shaking
  293. >"I'm going to go and see my friends."
  294. >"They- They can't accept you in thi-"
  295. >"Can it."
  296. >She is silenced again
  297. >"Chrysalis, really. You are such a pathetic, vile creature. You cannot, not even for a moment, truly comprehend the power of what you feed on. You think love is limited by physical form? Do you think that my friends, those who love me, would cease that love just because I look different? No, Chrysalis. I will be accepted back a hero."
  298. >She stares at the ground
  299. >"I hope..."
  300. >You bite your lip
  301. >"I do hope that you can see through that one day, Chrysalis. That you may come to realize the true power of what you use for simple food."
  302. >Her eyes are locked on the floor
  303. >"Do not return to Equestria. If you do, your efforts shall be met with extreme force."
  304. >She nods, sadly, still looking at the ground
  305. >You feel contempt looking at her
  306. >But there's something else...
  307. >Pity
  308. >"Unless, of course, you come peacefully. Friendship... It may be yours too. Maybe then you can redeem yourself."
  309. >You shake your head
  310. >"But for now, you are a disgusting perversion of nature, a pestilence on the surface of this land. You will not spread that pestilence to Equestria. Because if you do..."
  311. >You take a step backwards
  312. >"I will be waiting."
  313. >You teleport away with a mighty crack of thunder
