TIFU by getting in bed with my dad

I have no idea why I’m posting this but here it goes.

With the current ongoing situation, my parents have begun living separately. My brother is immunocompromised and my father goes to work everyday, so my mom moved into a different place with my brother (she is his full time caretaker) and my dad and I live by ourselves, going over to my mom and brother to drop off groceries a couple of times a week.

I am a 21 year old female and I have a great relationship with my dad. We’re two peas in a pod, best friends. On a regular basis we watch TV in his bed and fall asleep together. Since the fan in my room is broken and it has began getting so hot here, when I went to bed my dad told me if it got too hot I was welcome to sleep in bed with him (not in a creepy way). I turned him down because I wanted to sleep with my dog (she’s not allowed in my parents’ bed).

Well it’s around 4am and I wake up drenched in sweat. I’m throwing the covers off but it’s so hot and stuffy. I decide to take my dad up on the offer and sleep in bed with him. I walk into the hallway and I can hear the fan from the bedroom. I can only imagine how nice it feels to have a fan on. I quietly enter the room so as to not wake my dad up and climb into bed where my mom sleeps.

Suddenly I hear my dad mutter my mom’s name in his sleep. I think nothing of it and close my eyes, absolutely exhausted. Suddenly I feel a hand on my breast. No way. Must be a mistake.

Then a squeeze.

Fuck.

No.

I’m laying there wide eyed as my dad is groping me, still half asleep. I have to get out of this NOW. I (as silently as I could) swung my legs over the side of the bed and dragged the rest of my body off out from under my dad’s arm. As soon as I hit the floor I crawled the hell out of there. I slept (well...not really) on the couch.

My dad has not mentioned anything and I’m not sure if he knows what happened. All I know is that it will take a shower with the heat of a thousand suns to cleanse my psyche of this one.

Tl;dr got into bed with my dad while my mom was away. Dad thought I was my mom and copped a feel. I don’t know how to go on living.
