Invalid star guide and Prompt entanglement 2.2

 A detailed guide on how to get Star Icon Invalid Slot (SIIS) and how to use it. This is guide was made to compile the most useful things you can do with SIIS. These include: eating key items, eating unsellable armor, making a Hold Prompt Entanglement (HPE) meal using it, and more. This guide is categorized into 4 levels of difficulty: beginner, Intermediate, advanced, and expert.


Preparation:
-A file that you want SIIS on
-A manual save inside the Myahm Agana shrine(Hateno shrine)
-At least one key item
-At least one memory
-The camera rune
-Note: all of this will be taking place in one mode(normal/master)

ACTIVATING SIIS (BEGINNER)

1a. Load into manual save inside the Myahm Agana shrine
1b. Exit to the main menu and on the same mode you have the manual save on
1. Start a new game.
2. Get an autosave in the new game (don't pick up the Shiekah Slate!).
3. Load the file in Myahm Agana. Make sure you have at least two hearts.
3a. Walk up to the apparatus pedestal and make sure it says "Examine".
3b. Have the camera rune and a shield equipped.
3c. Press L and Rstick at the same time. The camera rune should be activated and you should still see the Examine prompt.
3d. Press A.
3e. Delete the photo and press + to enter the inventory.
3f. Hold any item.
3g. Quickly press + twice.
3h. Go to the adventure log and view a memory (nothing should happen). You now have apparatus storage activated.
4. Jump into the void, wait for a second, and reload the file you made in the new game(do NOT go to the title screen). This is called Void Out Storage (VOS).
5. When you load in, you will void out twice and respawn on a cliff. Climb down the cliff and make sure you stay in the very center so as to not get the Shiekah Slate cutscene. If anything goes wrong, restart from step 1.
6. At the bottom of the cliff, wait 45 seconds and then get an autosave. Make sure to avoid the cliff while trying.
7. Once you get an autosave, reload the file in Myahm Agana.
8. Exit the shrine and get 1 offset at the store using any method of IST.
9. Load the autosave you got down the cliff in the new game.
10. Pick up one material. If you are able to access 3 inventory tabs (some may be invisible), then consider yourself lucky and go to step 12. If not, then continue from step 11.
11a. Pick up the second material of a different type.
11b. Drop both materials.
11c. Pick up one of the materials.
11d. You should now be able to access 3 inventory tabs.
12. In the inventory, move to the middle inventory tab (it should be invisible).
13. Press R to move to the system tab.
14. In the system tab, you should be able to use d-pad left and d-pad right to make the cursor disappear and reappear.
15. Reload the file in Myahm Agana.
16. You should now have SIIS. Congrats! To check, go to the system tab and then back to the inventory. You should see a cursor appear over the star icon for a split second. If you don't, then reboot the game and restart from step 1.

__MAKING HPE MEALS USING INVALID STAR(BEGINNER)__

Preparation:
-SIIS
-Three full food tabs
-A lot of weapons/bows/shields(the more the better)
-A recipe you are going to use(list of recipes here: https://tinyurl.com/y3uwjdju)
-The cooked ingredients in your recipe must be in the rightmost food tab, in the 5th column(notated by 'c') and in the 1st or 2nd rows(notated by 'r'). For example, if you were doing ultimate recipe 1, you would need your 3 roasted endura carrots in r1c5 and your frozen hearty salmon in r2c5

1. Stand near a lit cookpot and hover over your target roasted/frozen ingredient.
2. Do rstick right, dpad down
3. Do rstick left, dpad up, rstick right, dpad left at a moderate tempo. Your cursor should be out of bounds to the left. This called the invalid slot. If not, then try it again at a different speed.
4. Wait a few seconds.
5. Hold rstick left until you reach the weapons tab. If the cursor is presently on the weapons tab, then try again but stop when you reach the bows tab.
5a. If your cursor begins to hover over the star icon, then you did not have enough korok slots. You may want to perform inventory corruption(not in this guide) to corrupt the korok seed amount to 999.
6. Press R, wait a second, press L
6a. Look at the item description in the bottom right. If it is blank, then you need more weapons/bows/shields. If it is an arrow, then you need more korok slots.
7. Hold rstick right until you reach the key items page.
8. Press A and select drop when the prompt appears. Whatever was in r1c5 of the third food tab should appear in front of link.
9. Press + twice and return to the rightmost food tab.
10. Repeat steps 1-9 however many times you need to.
11. Scroll to your materials tab and find your remaining uncooked ingredients.
12. Press X and hold all of your ingredients
13. Exit the inventory and cook

THE INPUTS TO LEARN/Unlocking columns

-Right stick left, dpad up, Right stick right, dpad left (Beginner)(Unlocks 5th column)(Doing this activates an invalid slot and is called the invalid slot, any time I say invalid slot it means these inputs)

-Get invalid slot,rstick leftx2 dpad left then, dpad right,left,left,right (Beginner)(Unlocks 1st column)

-Get an invalid slot,rstick leftx2, hover over the slot left of the one you want cursor on then, right stick right,dpad right, right stick left,dpad right(intermediate)(unlocks 2-4 columns on the right)

-Get an invalid slot,rstick leftx2, hover over the slot right of the one you want cursor on then, right stick left,dpad left, right stick right,dpad left(intermediate)(unlocks 2-4 columns on the left)

-Hover over r3 c5,get an Invalid slot,rstick leftx2, go to r4 c1, then in a moderate tempo,Dpad left, right,rstick rightx2 dpad right,then if your cursor isn't glitched do rstick left and dpad right for it to be.(unlocks 4th row)


EATING KEY ITEMS (Intermediate)

Preparation:
invalid star
 -3 food pages

TIPS: 1. you cannot eat anything in the 4th row, as of writing this guide
     2. There are flags for the medallion, and the champion ability, so if you eat them, they will come back if you reload a save.
     3.  If you are planning to eat koroks or spirit orbs

EATING KEY ITEMS PT.1(Beginner)
(eating items in the fifth column)

1. go to the key items tab, hover over the item you want to eat
2. dpad down
3. remember this slot
4. right stick leftx2
5. Get the invalid slot(rstick left, dpad up, rstick right, dpad left)
6. rstick rightx1
7. eat
8. this is possible for rows 1,2,3 on c5

EATING KEY ITEMS PT.2(Intermediate)
(eating items in the first column)
1. go to the key items tab, hover over the desired item in the first column
2.rstick left x2
3.dpad down,dpad rightx4
4. remember this spot in case you mess up
5.Get the invalid slot(rstick left, dpad up, rstick right, dpad left)
6. wait a few seconds
7. rstick left 2 times
8. dpad left
9. in a moderate tempo do,DPad Right,left,left,right
10. If your cursor is still weird, go key items
11. eat, you can do this method for rows 1,2,3 in c1

1. go to the key items tab, hover over the desired item in the second column

Different ways to get an invalid star

Kinak's star invalid slot with alignment(intermediate)
(similar to the first method but  without 2 materials, but some weird inputs)

1. have a save in manual save in hateno shrine then start a new game on whatever mode you had the manual save in. (Ex.new game in master mode, if you saved in master mode)
DON'T SWITCH MODES!
2. once you load inside the new game file, wait till you get an autosave then load make in your progressed file. (DO NOT GET SHEKIAH)
3a.load into the progressed file, inside the shrine
3b.you will find the apparatus pedestal, and walk over to it, till you see "Examine"
3c.move your rune to the camera so it selected,
3d.hold a weapon out, aim it at the pedestal
3e.then press the L button and crouch at the same time.
4. you should be in a state where Link is crouched and his camera rune it out and it still reads examine.
5. then press A
6. delete the photo, and right after press +
7. hold an item(any)
8. press + twice fast
9. go to adventure log, and view a memory
10. it shouldn't play and then press +
11. jump into the void, you shouldn't die, wait for a second, then pause
12. Go to System, and load your new file in SOR(This glitch is called VOS(void out storage)
13. when you load, you should die, then die again, but this time you will be on a cliff.
14. climb down it or jump if you have enough hearts, stay kinda in the middle of the cliff so you don't get shekiah slate. don't pick up anything, and get an autosave. (If you got the cutscene of shekiah slate go to step 12 and start from there)
15. load into the progressed file.
16. leave the shrine, and save asap
17. reload that save
18. then go to hateno shop
19. Save
21. reload that save(We do not want an auto-save, so we manually save before it)
22. make 1 offset
23. load the new game autosave
24. pickup one item
25. pause
26. If you're in the system menu then you did everything correctly
27. press L
28. dpad left
29. close and open the menu
30. press L
31. Rightsick right
32. close the menu
33. open the menu and press l
34. rstick right
35. close the menu
36. open menu
37. press the dpad left on the save button.
38. if your cursor moved, you got it(confirmation of star)
39. load into progressed
40. Got star



El Duende's outside SoR method(beginner)
(outside Sor, but no Vos, and made for Master mode and normal mode)

1. save in shop in progressed file
2. make a new game on the file you are on
3. pick shekiah slate and get cutscene outside
4. quickly get a stick and run back inside SoR
5. get the autosave
6. load progressed the file
7.  get an offset of 1
8. make sure you when loading something, it's not the shekiah slate in key items
9. load the new game autosave
10. reload new game autosave again
11. reload new game autosave another time
12. drop the stick
13. pick up a Hylian shroom near the entrance of SoR.
14. reload autosave for the last time
15. open menu
16. L to go from system menu to inventory
17. go to the stick tab
18. rstick right
19. close and open the menu
20. rstick right
21. close and open
22. rstick right
23. Cursor should be over the star icon
24. load progressed
25. got star



El Duende's invalid star inside of SoR(Intermediate)
(Meant for master mode,  but can be used for normal)

1. on progressed file, manually save in hateno shop
2. make a new game on the same mode as a progressed file
3. once you load in grab the shekiah slat and get 1 armor piece
4. it will autosave right after the armor piece, if not try again
5. load into progressed and get one offset
6. make sure the item you're transferring is not the shekiah slate.
7. load into new game autosave
8. if shekiah slate is in r1 c2 of the key items
9. reload the autosave
10. open the menu and press l
11. if you see the armor tab right of the shekiah slate tab, you did it right.
12. go to the title screen and make a new game
13. get shekiah slate and open the menu
14. you should have 1 key item tab and a phantom armor tab
15. close the menu
16.
  from the system setting to inventory, and press l

Dpad left
close and open
rstick right
close and open
 rstick right
if you have a cursor over the star icon, you got it right
load back into progressed
you got star

KendleMintJed's invalid star, no VoS, and inside SoR(Beginner)
(only work, if you have 1 tab key items, if you have champions abilities they will dupe after the process)

1.  have your progress file saved in the hateno shop
2. cook a meal(any)
3. make key items+1 offset slots(only can work with one page of key items)
4. make a new game on the same mode as a progressed file
5. get shekiah slate
6. navigate to the food
7. Dpad left
8. close and open
9. rstick right
10. close and open
11. rstick right
12. if you see the cursor over the star
13. load into the progressed file
14. you got star
15. You might have duped champions' abilities, you can either eat them with a star or close the game for them to get removed and the star to go away


El duendes and kinak's invalid star,in SoR and no VoS(intermediate)
(ONLY WORKS IN NORMAL MODE)

1. Have a Progressed file in hateno shop, and manually save it there
2. make a new game on save mode as progressed
3. get the autosave inside S0R(remember this autosave1)
4. get shekiah slate right after
5. hang around the armor chest for 50 seconds
6. open chest
7. if you got autosave again, you got it right(remember this as autosave2)
8. If not you might wanna reset to step 2
9. load into progressed
10. break 1 slot, so u have an, offset of 1
11. make sure the item you're transferring is anything but shekiah slate, so sort it if so
12. load into autosave2
13. check if you got the new key item(don't sort)
14. reload autosave2 again
15. armor should be right of key items now
16. load into autosave1
17. get shekiah slate
18. open menu
19. L to go back to inventory
20. Dpad left
21. close and open
 22. rstick right
 23. close and open
 24. rstick right
25. load into progressed
26. you got star



EATING ARMOR

Preparations:
-3 full food tabs
- invalid star


EATING ARMOR PT.1(Beginner)
(eating armor in the 5th column)

1. Have an armor piece you want to eat in wherever tab you want
2. hover over armor
3. rstick rightx1
4. dpad down
5. get the invalid slot
6. if it glitched on your armor, you did it right
7. go to a food tab where the cursor is still glitched but on food, if you can't get it still, try it on an edible material, move stuff if needed
8. If the cursor is on Links arm, R and then L
9. go back to the armor tab you're trying to eat
10. eat
11. this method works for rows 1,2,3 in c5

EATING ARMOR PT.2(Advanced)
(eating armor in the 4th column)

1. Have an armor piece you want to eat in wherever tab you want
2. hover over armor
3. rstick rightx1
4. dpad down
5. get the invalid slot
6. if it glitched, you did it right

7. then R and L bumper
8. go back to the bow page
9. once you are hover over the arrow
10. press x
11. now spam A, the arrow count should decrease by 1 every A press
12. once you have gotten the arrow to count to 0
13. Repeat steps 1-9 but instead of going to a material tab, go to a food tab and press a on the 0 arrow and eat it

10. go to a material where your invalid star is still glitched

12. go back to the bow page
13. once you are hover over the arrow
14. press x
15. now spam A, the arrow count should decrease by 1 every A press
16. once you have gotten the arrow to count to 0
17. Repeat steps 1-10 but instead of going to a material tab, go to a food tab and press A on the 0 arrows and eat it
18. these steps work for rows 1,2,3 on column 4

2. go to the arrow where you wanna eat

10. go to a material where your invalid star is still glitched

12. go back to the bow page
13. once you are hover over the arrow
14. press x
15. now spam A, the arrow count should decrease by 1 every A press
16. once you have gotten the arrow to count to 0
17. Repeat steps 1-10 but instead of going to a material tab, go to a food tab and press A on the 0 arrows and eat it
18. these steps work for rows 1,2,3 on column 3



EATING ARROWS PT 4(Intermediate)

1. Start your cursor over the arrow tab
2. go to the arrow where you wanna eat
3. Rstick right x4
4.  then once you reached the tab dpad downx1

7. dpad leftx5 you should be on a c1 slot on a row
8. do these inputs in a moderate tempo
9. right stick right,dpad right, right stick left,dpad right
10. go to a material where your invalid star is still glitched
11. then R and L bumper
12. go back to the bow page
13. once you are hover over the arrow
14. press x
15. now spam A, the arrow count should decrease by 1 every A press
16. once you have gotten the arrow to count to 0
17. Repeat steps 1-10 but instead of going to a material tab, go to a food tab and press A on the 0 arrows and eat it
18. these steps work for rows 1,2,3 on column 2

2. go to the arrow where you wanna eat
3. Rstick right x4
4.  then once you reached the tab dpad downx1
5. Get an invalid slot
6. rstick leftx2
7. dpad leftx1 you should be on a c5 slot on a row
8. do these inputs in a moderate tempo
9. Dpad right,left,left,right
10. go to a material where your invalid star is still glitched
11. then R and L bumper
12. go back to the bow page
13. once you are hover over the arrow
14. press x
15. now spam A, the arrow count should decrease by 1 every A press
16. once you have gotten the arrow to count to 0
17. Repeat steps 1-10 but instead of going to a material tab, go to a food tab and press A on the 0 arrows and eat it
18. these steps work for rows 1,2,3 on column 1






That's the Invalid star and Its quirks, there is other stuff you can do with it, but for now, this guide is perfect for an in-depth look into IS(invalid star).
