- New Atlanta
- New Atlanta is the Confederacy's seat of power on Cretasus, a shining example of Southern Comfort. Its cobblestone streets stretch for up to a mile from the governor's mansion at the center of the city. It's quite a sight seeing Plantation House architectural sensibilities applied throughout the city, lending an open, wide feel to the streets.
- Downtown is your most likely destination- the outskirts are mostly farmland. Housing is available- talk to the New Atlanta Bank representatives to see about purchasing a home today!
- While visiting downtown, be sure to take in a show at the Dixie Theater, owned by renowned Confederate actor John Wilkes Booth. This theater's acoustics are the best on any human colony- a natural choice for enjoying the routines during the matinee and the high drama performances at night. For those who want more modern fare, take in a film at the Hamilton Memorial Cinema- now with sound!
- Up and down main street, you'll find any number of fine merchants, taverns, and restaurants- here are some of the author's favorites.
- Elie's Down Home Cooking- run by Jolene Elie and her sister Marie, Elie's Down Home Cooking is home to good old-fashioned Southern food. After eating nothing but bronto beef, you'll relish the taste of chicken and dumplings.
- The Cotton And Gin- A well-policed bar, the Cotton And Gin has strong drinks and cheap food. Just don't go causing trouble, or Burning Skies, the Raptor doorman, will deal with you.
- The Off-Duty Gentleman's Club- For those of you of a more rough-and-tumble persuasion, this is the place. The Off-Duty is home to soldiers, explorers, and adventurers from all over Cretasus. It's worth it to stop in and listen to some of the tales told by the adventurers passing through. These gentlemen of the world can often be hired for an appropriate price for those who need a "go-get-em" type of man.
- Cosmic Kitsch- Owned and operated by a Scray who goes by "Sleazy Pete," this thrift store sells everything. LITERALLY everything. From toenail clippings and books on black magic to spoiled milk and particle accelerators, this store is your best bet if you can't find it anywhere else.
- As for its politics, Governor McCallister has asked us to reprint his stance on two issues. Union citizens and soldiers are just as welcome as anyone (or anything) else in New Atlanta. He only asks that they exchange their money at the bank before buying anything. As for slavery, quote: "Slavery? Really? Yes, it's STILL illegal as <expletive deleted>."

- New Savannah
- The Confederate spaceport of New Savannah is well-traveled by Confederate ships and Free Fleet members. It is also a traditional port, having a seaside dock and shipyard. Though the spaceport is rudimentary- a simple takeoff/landing field and refueling station- it is the only Confederate port on Cretasus.

- The River Library:
- This isn't a Union or Confederate colony, but rather a unique experience- where else but Cretasus will you find monks willing to show you their lives? Here in The River Library, you can watch Protoceratops monks in their meditation and training. See the incredible resolve as they sit under waterfalls, ram trees down, and walk across hot coals. Watch in amazement as the Psykers hone their abilities through self-discipline and the ancient art of bonseye!
- The tour begins at the five foot entrance to the cave- small enough to keep most predators out, and just big enough for humans to duck in to the Rock-Sky Caverns. To the left, there's a smaller cavern where guests of the tribe can stay- complete with grass bedding, raised sand piles, and rock fireplace for that authentic native feel.
- After dropping off your luggage in the guest cave, the tour offers you the chance to join the youngest monks for a day of training- carrying buckets of water from the river outside to the basins within, games of "Falling Trees", and of course a healthy lunch of local grasses and fruits.
- The tour, naturally, concludes with a visit to the incredible cave paintings and repository of stone tablets that the Protoceratops have been gathering for millenia. These tablets tell the history of the Shogunates, the Velociraptors, and the Nanuq lodges, weaving a tapestry of history that shows the wonders of the native life- a transcription for human readers is underway.
