  1. Name: Elias Bouchard Jonah Magnus
  2. Age: Who can really put a number on energy so DILFy? Looks to be middle-aged, around 47 or so 235 chronologically
  3. Gender: Man but, like, moved two inches to the left? Jonah snatched the body of a lady once during his escapades and went "oh shid this isn't half bad," so now his approach is more akin to "aw fuck it whatever"
  4. Job: Head of The Magnus Institute
  5. Affiliated Entity: The Whore The Eye
  6. Appearance: Despite possessing the demeanor of a man much taller, Elias clocks in at an almost pitiable 5'4", his stature dwarfed further by his personality... not that you'd know it, since he takes great pains to obscure his true height, even going so far as to order custom-made platform boots that bump him up to a lacking but acceptable 5'7". Napoleon Complex? Who's she? His hair has started to pick up more grey than brown these days, even around the unfortunate beard, though he takes great pains to style it immaculately and keep the appearance of being well-groomed. His green eyes always seem a touch too bright for the lighting around him, and he has the tendency to smile even when nothing particularly funny is going on, something that should be reassuring but just comes off as unnerving. Elias is never seen in casual dress; suits and dress shirts only, thank you. What good is a lofty title if you're not going to look the part? Typically dresses in dark, sober colors with the only pop of color being the occasional splash of green in his tie or at his cuffs.
  7. Personality: In a word: Smug. Insufferably so. Every single action he takes is so suffused with egotism that it's a wonder all of his staff haven't gone in and punched him at least once since taking the helm. His one saving grace is that he takes a more hands-off approach to governing the Institute, preferring instead to sit back and observe from afar, so exposure to this walking ball of conceit is limited to small doses only. In his mind, there exists only surefooted certainty; he knows what's best, and disagreeing with him is only going to drag the process out further before things fall in line exactly how he directs. Elias likens himself to a conductor, long-suffering in his arrangements, the only one with access to the score that will produce harmony in just the right fashion... so long as his instruments can get with the fucking program already. Though he has a taste for manipulation that might befit a connection to The Web, make no mistake, all his actions have been for the sake of pursuing that endless thirst for a knowledge and understanding that will never run dry. He is a creature of the Ceaseless Watcher through and through, and he will stop at nothing to bask in his ambitions coming at last to fruition. This has been true for hundreds of years. The Magnus Institute stands as a testament to that fact, a monument, a shrine at which fear is worshiped, and he was and remains its architect. Whether it's as Jonah, James, or Elias, he walks its halls with the same air of fond possessiveness from the very start.
  8. History: Elias Bouchard was exceptional only insofar as he had enormous potential and no drive to realize it fully despite the opportunities he'd been given. Born the only child to a wealthy couple with access to a sizable trust fund, he coasted squarely between the burnouts and the overachievers, doing just enough to get by and not be branded a total disappointment. For all that he lacked the interest or discipline to truly put his everything into academics when his future was already secure, Elias did have an inclination toward seeking knowledge from a young age. It just so happened that what he found as worthy of his time didn't agree with what he'd been told by parents, educators, and other authority figures.
  9.
  10. Obscure facets of the occult sparked an interest since childhood, but that only grew larger once his parents died in a fire that broke out in a remote mountain lodge, leaving him the sole beneficiary to an estate at 17 that he then proceeded to piss away like any reckless, irresponsible youth. In the ensuing years, Elias Bouchard was everyone's friend; his name was synonymous with generosity, all smiles and laughter so long as the drinks flowed and the money kept coming. But once the money ran out, as it always does, especially in the hands of a wastrel, Elias found that the rapport he'd earned only lasted so long as he was able foot bills and fund illicit habits.
  11.
  12. As it happened, this meant there was no one to miss him should the worst happen, none to notice or care about the change in his disposition seemingly overnight.
  13. Desperate in the face of certain ruin, Elias was frantic to salvage what he could of the degree he'd blown off as a waste of time before, and only managed to scrape by with third honors. Given his lack of work history or outstanding achievements and the prestige of his family name worn down to nothing, he was left with few prospects and even less hope. It was then that he encountered The Magnus Institute, and with it, his old love for the unexplained seemed reignited. This was also the point that he caught the attention of James Wright, and in him Elias found a second chance; the years before an untimely death were now filled with growth and change into something more, and so drastic was the shift that James saw fit to make Elias his replacement.
  14.
  15. And there he would remain. For 20 years, through a rocky relationship that saw several trips to a divorce lawyer, he watched over the Institute with pride, even considering his tenuous relationship with Gertrude. Shame how that one turned out, huh? As he felt the years begin to catch up with him, it was only right that he began to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor and select a future inheritor of his own, one capable of looking after the place in his stead. But while he had his eye on Jon, it was Gertrude that insisted the position of Archivist go to Sasha, and rather than deal with allegations of workplace discrimination without any room to object, Elias granted her this one decision.
  16.
  17. For the better, one might hope.
  18. Powers: Omniscience (limited, requiring conscious use and concentration), memory insertion (only, no removal or alteration, and the information must be true) bodysnatching
  19. Other information: Gay and homophobic.
  20. Nobody's ever seen him leave the Institute apart from the occasional break in the middle of the workday. He's there before anyone arrives and lasts after everyone goes home for the evening; any questions about his living situation are either deflected or outright dismissed. For all intents and purposes, he doesn't seem to have a life outside of work, although whether his office is ever occupied at any given moment is anyone's guess.

  25. Name: Keigo Takami
  26. Alias: Hawks
  27. Age: 23
  28. Gender: Trans male
  29. Affiliation: #2 Pro Hero
  30. Appearance: Manlet. Standing at a wholly unimpressive 5'7", it's his massive wingspan and overwhelming charisma that give off the impression of someone much taller. Hawks' appearance is tailored to give off a precise air of dishevelment that's supposed to come off as breezy and effortless, but make no mistake, he could spend hours in front of a mirror preening. I like the thought of Hawks having birds like a bone, hollow so they enable him to fly, and because of this, they're very fragile and break easily! He's a delicate lad, so he relies on his speed and reflexes to avoid getting caught by villains because if they get him in their grasp, he's a goner. He's made best friends with all the doctors in the area just because he's been spending so much time in and out of the hospital after getting slammed into buildings.
  31. Personality: Despite the easygoing exterior he uses to give off the impression of being a Chill Dude with No Worries, Hawks struggles A Lot with his first instincts being to manipulate a situation to his advantage because he's had to do that ever since growing up and definitely since becoming a double-agent. So he's got this constant running commentary in the back of his head, "Was that okay? Should I have said that? Am I just tricking someone into thinking that about me?" Hawks is somebody who's very principled and hates the idea of deceiving people even when he's willing to do what he has to. He's scared that one day it'll become too easy. That he'll start to enjoy it. That he'll become someone he doesn't recognize.
  32. It's not all doom and gloom, though! Because of his immense emotional intelligence and skill at reading people, he's able to get cozy with just about anybody, and his unique drive to understand makes him uniquely adept at giving out advice... once he stops acting like a clown long enough to dole it out, especially where it isn't wanted.
  33. History: Keigo grew up in some pretty dire straits; his family was consistently working long and hard hours just to make ends meet, and while his dad turned to crime in order to put food on the table, it was Keigo's split second decision that earned him the eye of the Hero Public Safety Commission and set him on the path to becoming a pro himself. He had little interest in the work from a young age, just going through the motions to keep his new handlers off his back, but when he hit 10, it was at that point that Endeavor was reaching new heights in his career, and Keigo found something about him that spoke to him. In part because it was somebody larger in life that he could aspire to and work toward, and in part because he made for the perfect replacement father figure. It helped him find the good in hero work and shape his identity into wanting to be That But Better. Taking what made Endeavor a rising star and apply it so that he reached more people, achieved new records, and did more good. It wasn't about the numbers for him but the influence, not the fame or prestige but the assurance he could provide to the masses.
  34. He's nomadic by nature; as the number 2 hero, he has to be all over Japan and he's one of the only heroes with the type of mobility that enables him to zip by over long distances and go where he has to in order to do his job at maximum efficiency! It means he never stays in one place for too long, so he doesn't really even have a permanent address. He stays in cheap motels where available, and spends months at a time renting out empty apartments in a lot of high-traffic areas at once just in case he needs to crash there. They're never particularly comfortable, but it's more for function than anything else, and he only uses it to sleep in when he absolutely has to. He's not one for being overly attached to places, but a big part of him wishes he'd be able to put down roots and have somewhere that's just his and isn't temporary. He wants a home to come back to and, as much as he claims otherwise, someone to share it with.
  35. Other notes: Despite being part bird, part man, all bastard, he's a cat person and falls in love with every stray he sees. He's extremely tactile and touchy-feely, particularly for someone born and raised in Japan where physical affection isn't a huge thing, so he Will find every excuse to touch his friends and acquaintances as long as they're comfortable with it, whether it's a hand squeeze in solidarity or little things like tucking a stray lock of hair behind their ear or plucking a bit of fuzz from their shirt, anything goes. Despite living like a bachelor, he's surprisingly tidy and meticulous about personal grooming, and that extends to other people, too. Since he doesn't sleep in the most comfortable of places ordinarily, he's gotten in the habit of taking short naps with his feathers wrapped around him individually like the world's fluffiest blanket, and the image of him falling asleep in the middle of one of his visits to the hideout after too many all-nighters is. Precious.
  36. Also: He did Japanese archery back in high school and he still loves watching kyudo tournaments to this day!

  40. Name: Enji Todoroki
  41. Alias: Endeavor
  42. Age: 47
  43. Gender: Cis male
  44. Affiliation: #1 Pro Hero
  45. Appearance: DILF. Imposing by just about anybody's metric, Enji's huge stature is dwarfed only by his presence. Tall, broad, and muscular, he uses his decades of experience to sculpt a carefully crafted image of competence built with the sole purpose of striking fear into the hearts of friend and foe alike. Where before, the easiest thing to take note of was the fire coming off of him in waves, it's now impossible to miss the scar that mars half of his face. It signals to the world that this newfound #1 is by no means invincible; if someone got a piece of him once, they can do it again.
  46. Personality: Bastard. Competitive down to his very bones, Enji's ruthless ambition and willingness to discard whatever doesn't prove useful to him speaks volumes about his disposition. Not prone to sentimentality or consideration for other people unless it directly concerns his own ends, make no mistake, his is a personality that holds fast to his pride and breeds resentment easily. It's only in recent years that he's made strides in letting go of his obsessive quest for strength, but he still has a long way to go before he's ready to truly abandon that ambition. Now he's the picture of a sad divorcee, trying to make amends and form new connections, throwing himself into his work as the only method of distracting himself.
  47. History: Born to a wealthy family that encouraged his overwhelming drive to succeed, Enji grew up with all his physical needs provided for without any seeming consideration for his mental and emotional needs. Intelligent, analytical, determined, and blessed with a powerful quirk, all the stars seemed to align for him to be the best and brightest of his generation. Until the Symbol of Peace emerged and he was constantly overshadowed.
  48. No matter how hard he worked, his every contribution was compared to All Might's, and eventually, rather than continue to throw himself at an insurmountable wall, Enji chose to pour all his effort and resources into creating an heir that could surpass his lifelong rival. As a product of quirk marriage himself and following tradition, he was quick to secure a suitable partner by any means necessary, with no thought spared for love or happiness. He raised his children the way he was raised; all physical needs met, but nothing else. The rest, as they say, is history. Upon Rei's discharge from the hospital and subsequent move into a place of her own with the other Todoroki children, Enji now lives in his family home alone, save for a few staff. As a condition of having any type of contact with his family, he attends private therapy sessions every week. He tells himself it's better that way.
  49. Other notes: Addressing the elephant in the room: Yes, Enji is abusive. I use "is" instead of "was" because it's a lifelong process of unlearning abusive patterns and he's still in the beginning stages of it at this point of the series. I don't excuse or downplay his actions but neither do I think he deserves to die for them; I'm interested in exploring his "redemption arc" to its logical conclusion. I'll do my utmost to remain thoughtful and respectful in my portrayal, as well as sensitive to the needs of other roleplayers, but just be aware that Enji is not a nice person. He's not a good person. And though I'll rehabilitate him as best I can, it is a messy process that I intend to represent faithfully. Feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or want me to tone it down.
