- We are trying to plan my schedule for next year but I am stuck between Mathematical Economics and Data Science. The first year pre-reqs are essentially the same for both and I already have my second semester courses figured out but he wanted me to know exactly which one I wanted to declare. I don’t have to do that until the end of my first semester of sophomore year. When I reminded him of that, he said “son, you really should’ve had your life figured out by now.”
- My response was probably childish and really bad. I said that I was surprised at the fact that I was even accepted at this school considering that this tuition is about 3x what both my parents make and that I never even thought I’d go to college because of that so excuse me for not having my life all mapped out. Like damn bruh (didn’t say that). He looked at me like I overstepped and I said sorry I’m just stressed. And then he told me to send him an email to reschedule our meeting but I can’t figure out what to say or if I should apologize again.
- TLDR kinda flipped on advisor, don’t know how to reach out via email afterwards
