  1. Billie Barnum was born in Houston, Texas to a Father who was a Baptist Minister and a Mother in show business. Before she was two years old her family re-located to Los Angeles. From this early age her Mother, who believed in musical training, directed Billie's creative development. Billie showed musical aptitude, and through education, hard work and practice she began to pattern what would be her artistic craft.

  3. Billie spent a year of study at U.C.L.A., and at the Hollywood School Of Drama, during which time she began singing background vocals with artists such as Sonny Bono and Phil Spector. This led to her being offered a singer/dancer position with the Nat "King" Cole Sights and Sounds tour.

  5. After Nat Cole's unfortunate death, Billie landed a part with the Danny Kaye TV show on CBS. From there she moved on to perform with the Jimmy Joyce Singers on such TV shows as Red Skelton, Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, Tim Conway, Glen Campbell, Don Knotts and Bobby Darin. As an independent background singer she went on to perform on other TV shows such as Carol Burnett, Julie Andrews, Perry Como, Hollywood Palace, John Wayne Special, Pearl Bailey, Midnight Special, Sonny & Cher, Johnny Carsons Tonight Show, Joey Bishop, Joan Rivers, UNCF College Fund Telethon, Image Awards, Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Dick Clark's 25th Anniversary Show, Sisters In The Name Of Love, Martin Luther King Jr. Anniversary Show, and many others. Her movie credits include, Finians' Rainbow, How To Succeed In Business, Doctor Doolittle, Shaft's Big Score, Americathon, Warriors, On A Clear Day, Dingus Magee, Legend Of Lyla Clare, Bob & Carol Ted & Alice, Falling In Love, North South, Book II and others.

She recorded background vocals for such artists as Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Lou Rawls, Little Richard, Barbra Streisand, Glen Campbell, Lionel Ritchie, Paul Anka, Dionne Warwick, Diahann Carroll, Cannonball Adderly, Neil Diamond's "Cracklin Rosie", O.C. Smith's "Little Green Apples", Al Wilson's "Show & Tell" and many others too numerous to mention. In addition to recording, Billie also toured with major stars. They included, Nancy Sinatra, Juliet Prowse, Tom Jones, Glen Campbell, Robert "Benson" Guillaume, rock groups such as Humble Pie and Pink Floyd.

  9. She was formerly with two female vocal groups, The Apollas, who recorded for Warner Brothers Records, and The Blackberries who recorded on A & M Records.

  11. Presently, Billie's credits continue to grow. A special time for Billie was her participation in singing with the 10,000 voice choir at Anaheim Stadium for the Billy Graham Crusade. She is also a member of the 100 voice choir based in Los Angeles called "Life", who minister through song and praise.
