Where should I park?
• There is a parking lot for jurors located southeast of the Independence courthouse, on the corner of Walnut and Osage Streets, which is free. Please park in the southern section of this parking lot.

How long should I expect to serve?
• On the day you are required to report, please plan on being at the courthouse the entire day (occasionally after 5 p.m.). The jury selection process is often completed that first day, but may take longer in some cases. Most jurors go through only one selection process, and those not selected are released at the end of the process. If you are selected as as juror in a case, the average length of a trial is about 3 1/2 days. You will be told how long the particular case you are being considered for is expected to last as you go through the selection process.

Is lunch provided?
• Lunch is not provided but you may bring your own lunch if you wish, or you may purchase lunch from the vending machines in the courthouse.

How should I dress?
• "Business casual" is a good rule of thumb. Do not wear shorts, tank tops or other inappropriate clothing. Jeans are allowed. You may also want to bring a sweater or jacket because temperatures in the courthouses can vary significantly throughout the day.

Does the Court provide childcare service?
• No, the Court does not provide childcare service. Please do not bring your child(ren) when reporting for jury service. Arrangements for the care of your child(ren) should be made prior to reporting for jury service.

What should I do if I don't have transportation to the courthouse?
• RideKC buses have drop off and pick up points close to the courthouses. To find out which bus would best serve your needs, please visit www.RideKC.org or call 816-221-0660.

Does the Court pay me for jury service?
• Yes, you will receive the state statutory rate of $6.00 per day, plus 7 cents per mile (calculated from the center of your zip code to the courthouse). Jurors that are selected to actually hear the case will be paid $18.00 per day for every day of their service.

What if I need an accommodation for a disability?

Contacted the annoying fools (duo calls) on 04/24/24 @ 1:06 PM - 1:10 PM to intimidate the imbeciles including send dire warnings to stay in your place or deal with harsh consequences ....

Follow up recordings on 04/26/24 around 3:50 PM - 4:00 PM contacted the listed Kansas City - Independence court facilities 3x. No responses documented time based off voice recorder app collective 2 mins 20+ seconds ....

Audio files recorded contacted Division 33 (Jackson County • Independence, State of Missouri) numerous times on 04/29/24 @ 12:18 PM - 12:30 PM. Spoke with a white female named Kathy calling the main service line. Second recording for 4- mins  told the clerk, receptionist I'll arrive midday. Female said I'll be reassigned a following jury summons report date if arriving late. Told her I don't change plans, schedules (activities) for anyone. She informed these obsolete court jury sessions start @ 8 AM end typically till 4:30 PM - 6 PM.

Obviously a waste of time not interested in assisting these fools with their obsolete, useless court issues, proceedings etc ....

UPDATE

Enrolled myself to disengage their options basically disqualification of one self via the annoying court system (State of Missouri). Majority of questions responded to with NA vice versa brief responses. Saw the stated reference 'Convicted Felon - Civil Rights Not Restored' via the useless annoying system & uploaded court classified documentation to add further cause. Basically with the intent not to waste your time with their obsolete, useless antics & address the idiots accordingly. Which was done today on 04/26/24 time periods (Central Standard Time) 5:05 PM - 6:30 PM etc. ~~~

Was notified via email(s) on 04/29/24 @ 8:14 AM - 8:25 AM  by a court affiliate --- basically you're disqualified for opting out service since SIS probation crap was completed.
