No IM/WW on 1.0 (n64)
I'm assuming you are on 1.0 version and not 1.1. So if you have trouble with WESS escape and can't get it consistent do the route I linked down below, it's much less frustrating and doesn't require constant resets like WESS escape does, it's really only a route you should do once you get really good. The route below gets bottle instead of Ocarina. You use the bottle for OI (Ocarina items to play songs on) instead of ocarina (only difference in routes everything else is the same)

Follow this video but there are some hard tricks you probably shouldn't do yet (spirit hover for example)

The description in the video shows the steps on how to do it

On step 3 You will know when you got it by your A button being blank
On step 4 to do the ess turns by tapping the control stick as slight as possible to a direction (left in this case)

On step 8 the 4 side hops can't be too fast or it won't work, space them apart a bit.

Things to keep in mind:
When you enter the setup to get the angle is
Target pillar>sidehop right>roll(neutral control stick on this roll)>let go of z and press it again during roll to get angle>tilt controller slightly down and roll>let go of z and press again to retarget during roll and get the angle.

To get the clip he holds slightly down left on controller to side roll>holds down right notch on the sidehop

After that just follow instruction rest of the video. You don't have to do the buffering at 53 seconds in the vid. You can just press and hold Z and hold left you have 3 frames to hold left but if you do it too early you get crushed by the door and void.
