- TIFU. Happened about 2 hrs ago. I work the 4-midnight shift and I was on my lunch break around 8:30. Pretty much everything is closed except for a couple of pizza places. I go to Pizza Hut’s website, make a delivery order, and go to pay for it. Easy right? I thought it was until it kept denying my card. I knew I had all the information correct and I definitely had enough money so I kept retrying the order with no success. I gave up after about 10 tries. Whatever no pizza for me. I then get a notification from my bank about a fraudulent use of my card. I was panicking until I opened my bank app and noticed Pizza Hut charged me. Oh cool maybe I’ll get some pizza after all. After further investigation I realize they charged me more than once. Every failed attempt was successful for them except no order actually went through. I called the local store and they told me there was nothing they can do, none of my orders actually went through, and I need to call corporate about a refund. I call corporate and they say there’s nothing they can do except hope the pending charges drop within 3 business days. That my friends is how you blow over $200 on pizza that you’ll never even see.
- TL;DR Pizza Hut website wasn’t accepting my card info so I kept retrying and it charged me every time.
