# Chapter 8 part 3 "Feast of Destruction (Sarah & Wol part)"

Wol, Meia and Sarah rushed to the tower. Sarah realized that some people were fighting. Wol told Eco to guide Meia and Sarah to tower and he will hold Chaos back. Eco asked whether Wol alone will be fine, then replied Wol asking who do you think he is. Sarah wish for wol's good luck then they parted ways.

Along the way to the tower Meia and Sarah saw bodies of people. They knew instantly that those people also saw visions from the runes and came here to fight, to protect something here, probably something where Chaos is heading to.

They met Masaris who was about to fall to some monsters. They told him that they also guided here by the runes and that more monsters were heading here also. Masaris told them that everyone there were prepared and resoluted, they were all trying to protect the tower. As long as there's hope they will keep fighting until the end. Sarah then asked whether they were prepared to die, what she saw was that Masaris was hurt and didn't look like he was fighting at all. Masaris calmed down a bit and asked for them to help defending the tower. Sarah agreed and told him that this was what they came here for.

As they were heading to the tower, they helped multiple returners. Returners asked why Sarah and Meia were so strong. Meia didn't answer but told them to just leave the battlefield, those who are injured are only hold everyone back but they refused and joined the two to head back to the tower.

As they got close to the tower, a new group of monsters were spawned right in front of them and also at the tower. Vorban was spawned at the tower, it shot and destroyed the spherical light of hope at the top of the tower. As if the morale of the returners weren't already low, they started to think that they were fighting a losing fight. Meia suggested that they should leave and fall back to some place safe but Sarah as she saw the returners refused and said "If only one person refuse to give up and fight here even if it's me alone I'll go there and fight along side them". Meia told Masaris to gather soldiers and regroup before heading to the tower. Masaris asked what will Meia do, she then replied "No need to asked, wherever Sarah go, I'll go with her. In order to be alive with her!"

Meia and Sarah started climbing the tower, Sarah's plan was to bring back the light of hope otherwise people wouldn't be able to fight and win. Meia said that she'll follow her wherever she goes and agreed to help. On the other hand, Masaris told the soldiers to not fear the monster and that the two will obviously bring back the light of hope. As unbelievable as it sounds, all the soldiers thought the same thing. "Even though they only met the two, they all have complete faith in them".

Meia asked Sarah as they almost got to the top of the tower, "I'm sure you already realized this. All the soldiers were in complete despair and now they started to feel hope after seeing your gracious fight. This is no doubt another beginning of **Story of Hope**. Are you okay with that?" Sarah then replied, "I don't care about that. I made it here by my own will. I wish to be here, this is my hope". "Then I'll only follow you. Because you helped me, I believe in you. That's all."
They finally got to the top of the tower and encountered Vorban. Meia told Sarah to do what she needed to do and she alone will defeat Vorban there. Sarah rushed to another place and fell from some shaking where Meia was fighting, runes fell out to the ground from her pocket. As she look at the runes and at the people who were fighting, "Story of **Tower of Hope**, I'm sure that my role here is ... Even so it's fine... This is what I decided. Being protected all the times won't change anything. To change, to make a change, to the people who are fighting." She grabbed the rune, stood up and went to the edge of the tower. She gave a speech to the warriors who were defending the tower. "To all warriors! Fight against despair! Our enemies are powerful. Getting beaten, deciding not to fight, throwing away your weapon and flee, all of those are fine. So please, live! Even if we're defeated or broken right now, please don't give up on living! And then we will rise again, together with hope. Even if the fighting does not end, even if you don't see hope, I will protect all of you! All of your hope, I will be the one to bear them all!" As Sarah's speech ends, light of hope was lit again at the top of the tower and all the soldiers were again full of hope.

At the same time when the light of hope was shone again, Echo saw an outline of a shadow coming closer to her and Sophie and realized that it's Wol. She was surprised and then disappeared before Wol could see her. He got to Sophie and asked whether she was okay. Sophie asked Wol who he is, then Wol replied "Let's leave that for later, for now I have to go and greet another one". Chaos roared as he got over the light of hope. Sophie suddenly got up due to the sudden roar. "You seems fine" Wol said to her. "You also seem fine huh Chaos. We meet again after a long time. I hope you can be my opponent here"

As Wol walking to Chaos,
"Wait wait! Fighting that yourself is suicide!"
"Weren't you fighting it yourself earlier?"
"... That's why I lost"
"Thanks for worrying about me but that guy was destroyed before"
"Destroyed!? That thing!?"
"Well yeah, but it seems to have revived"
"!! I'll help you! no, please let me help you!"
"Huh?"
"Please to be figting alongside you Senpai!"
"... senpai?"
"I won't get in your way! please, let me learn from you!"
"Well, I don't mind"

Wol learned that the girl's name is Sophie, somehow just after they met she decided to call him senpai and tag along with him. A weird girl but still she did seem desperate. Got beaten by Chaos and couldn't help her allies, felt that she need to take responsibility and try to learn from him.

"Looking for something?"
"erm... Did you see Echo around here? She was always with me..."
"Your friend is an echo? They are whimsical, if they want to disappear they just disappear and when you don't want to see them they just float around you"
"Is that your personal experience? In the past, did something happen between Senpai and Echo?"
"Dunno. Now, what do you want to do? If you want to search for Echo we can part ways here."
"It's okay. I have a feeling that she will come back when I go with Senpai"

As they went to Chaos, they fought several groups of monsters along the way.

"You're quite strong yourself. Sophie, you don't really need to learn from me do you?"
"I don't know why, my body feels lighter. Before Senpai helped me, my body was in bad shape but after I came to I feel so full of energy. Is this because of the light from the tower? I feel like that the light is supporting me"
"Light of hope huh... I don't really like this"
"Is it something that happen in the past? But Senpai, after that light shone on you, it looks like you're having fun"
"Me?"
"Yes. Yes. You keep figting the monsters one by one and it really looks like you're having a lot of fun. I'll give it my all too Senpai!"

Wol then thought to himself,
"I'm having fun? I just defeat the monster that spawned here. It's just the usual thing, nothing is different. No, if it's the old me I would just leave Sophie there. Am I having fun? I'm feeling the excitement that I used to have? The light of hope sparkles, a reunion fight with Chaos... The retelling of the distorted story that I ended with my own hands"

The more they are getting closer to the Chaos the more fierceful the monsters.
Sophie almost got done by the monster but Wol saved her.
"If you want to flee, it's now. Chaos's power is not at this level"
"Even so, Senpai once won"
"Yes, but are you still going with me?"
"Yes, I'll follow you Senpai!"

Finally, they got to where Chaos was.
"Senpai... Can that thing really be defeated?"
"It's huge, you can't miss attacking it"
"True"
"Do you want to try?"
"Yes, I will!"


They got Chaos weakened.
"The story is already ended. Chaos. The one who you were destined to fight with ..."
Then Wol jumped, slashed Chaos and defeated it.
"... The Warrior of Light is no where to be found now"

Sophie screamed with joy that they finally won. On top of the tower, all the soldiers also raised their voice with excitement that Chaos had been defeated.

"This is... This is the beginning of a new story." Sarah said to herself as her outfit changed to the princess of dawn outfit.

After Wol and Sophie went to the tower, they saw that the soldiers were all over Sarah. They all praised Sarah for being there, reunited them, gave them hope, and guide them to win the fight. No one cared about the two at all. Sophie felt a bit down but at the same time respected what Sarah had done. Wol told her that because they won, and Sophie also tried the hardest. Sophie listened but still didn't feel good. "Yes I did my best but still... I don't know. I don't know what to feel". In that moment, Wol gazed into the roadside sign and saw the moment that the sign changes from **Tower of Returners** to **Tower of Hope**. "Now this is becoming what the world that I know of would do"
"Calling Sarah here and had her lit the fire in everyone's heart. Being a contrary person as I am, I have to admit that my heart did moved a bit by her. And to answer to people's feeling, the world (the sign) got overwritten and made it into reality. Ah really... This is the country sprouting hope, Palamecia. It's becoming more and more like Palamecia"
