  53.
  54. background:
  55. Even growing up in Canada, Euntaek was always popular in some way or another - the rest of the students found him different, in both an exciting and rather sad way. Students found it fascinating that though he was part Korean, he spoke French and even a bit of English like the rest of them, and would often ask him to speak Korean for them until he gave in and said some random phrase to placate them. Though they were curious and elated with how unique he was around their town, not many wanted to be friends with him - he certainly looked different, and more than a little girly at the time (i don't /want/ a haircut, mom), so they mostly kept a distance between them. They were all friendly with him, sure, and not many were out right mean, but he never really had a close friend he felt he could share everything with and invite over to hang out. He mostly kept to himself and his parents, who he clung to a bit too much in his childhood.
  56. When his parents split, it all felt a little bit too much for the young boy, as he was always with them and leaned on them both to keep him grounded and occupied. His father was unhappy, he'd explained to the young boy, and wanted to give both he and Euntaek's mother a better chance at happiness; he promised that it wouldn't change their relationship at all, and young twelve-year-old Euntaek believed him, but it seemed that it happened anyways. Even when they moved back to Korea, he called and spoke to his father every day, scheduling flights back and forth whenever they could, but as time went on and he got older both the flights and calls became less frequent until they seemed to only appear on important dates, like holidays and birthdays. His father got remarried, and he attended the wedding, but he hasn't been back to Canada since that date.
  57. Korea, Euntaek soon found out, was much different than Canada was. For one, he was never lonely - there were always boys and girls alike curious and friendly to keep him company, and while Korea was less lenient on their sexual allowances, he found himself caught up in foolish, young flings with anyone and everyone as he grew up, not caring that much about the consequences or what he looked like even when childish crushes grew into casual hookups and getting caught up in the wrong crowds at his public school as his age grew. Inheriting a temper from his mother, he refused to listen when both his mother and grandparents scolded him to quit, and all his back talk and rebellion for the sake of getting on their nerves ended with him getting sent off to a private school where they hoped he would focus more on learning and getting his grades back to a good place and less on relationships (jokes on them though, Euntaek has no problem with boys, and even prefers them). So far, he's showing no stopping his tendency for hookups and casual sex and his grades are barely above average, but he's trying his best to stop his mother from worrying.

  65. ❝SPRING DAY❞
  66.
  67. personality:
  68. Euntaek, while he may look harmless enough (and even a bit sweet), can be quite the asshole when he wants to be. He's not a bad person, but he's got a mean streak in him he uses as a defense mechanism whenever he feels as if someone is coming too close for comfort in his "bubble" that he only lets select people enter. A naturally closed off character due to a lonely childhood and split parents, Euntaek likes to hold himself at a distance from others and is definitely afraid of letting anyone too close in fear that they might do something to hurt him. On top of that, he's never really had a personal, deep relationship, and the thought of being in one makes him more than a little nervous and comfortable.
  69. When he's at his best, Euntaek can be a very sweet, kind soul - one who hates for anyone else to be picked on, and is selfless beyond comparison, going beyond himself to help and protect others even if he gets nothing (or hurt) out of it. He's got a soft interior, one that he keeps tucked away and gets embarrassed when it shows, like how he gets extremely giggly when he's in a good mood or how he's unable to say no to anyone, extremely easy to become putty in someone's hands if they need him. In a good mood, he's found to be very smiley, nose scrunched up almost automatically and voice lifting with excitement as he waves his arms in every direction to get whatever point it is across.
  70. He's a very driven person, trying his hardest at whatever is put in front of him and pushing himself past his limits to achieve that goal. However, he's also a very self-destructive person, and pins blames on himself very easily, often falling into slumps where he believes he's the problem with everything in life for days or weeks at a time. He's competitive on top of that, loving to win or be at the top at all times, and becomes extremely sullen when he's beat out for anything.
  71. At his worst, Euntaek can be a very toxic person to be around. Most of it comes from the fake persona he puts up, sarcasm, snark, and bite evident in almost every word he speaks and a laugh that always sounds mocking for some reason. He's not a very physically violent person, but his sharp tongue throws punches of it's own, always seeming to know where to hit a person where it hurts the most and resulting a few physical fights he's had to get his own way out of. He can be blunt and come off as dispassionate, while inside he may be the opposite, but it's just the way he is. Those who care enough to break past and stick around his ugly side long enough are sure to see his naturally sweet inside peak through as he becomes more comfortable around you.

  140. any past relationships? if so, describe them:
  141. ● (If the desire slot) The closest thing to a relationship he ever had was with WINGS, who he let get closer than anyone else, maybe too close for comfort, and maybe that's why he drew away. Upon realizing how much he'd come to depend on the other, he'd drawn back into himself completely, effectively ruining their relationship with petty insults that weren't anything more than words thrown out to take attention away from the fact that he was scared of liking (or loving) the other.
