In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an accountant with no superpowers comes to realize his city is owned by a super villain. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.
I don't think Peter Sarafinowicz understands the character he's playing, and the storyline changes to Arthur weren't as good as what Ben Edlund created. Having said that, Jackie Earle Haley completely nailed the role of The Terror. His part was so amazing, I can't wait to see more. Really. I can't wait. So hurry up and make more already. There's so much potential here. I can't even begin to imagine how they'll pull off characters like Chairface Chippendale, J.J. Vatos, Tongue Tongue, or Proto Clown. I'm sure they'll be great too. This has always been my favorite comic. From the wacky take on superhero life to the Sidekick Lounge, nothing comes close to the humor and absurdity of it all. Hopefully Amazon sees the real value of this and goes the distance instead of bringing us another bad show starring Jean Claude Can't Act.
This was an excellent take on a 90s cartoon that I watched as a kid, the people complaining about certain heroes and villains not being in the pilot are either bragging that they watched it in the 90s and want some form of writing saying it or they're being completely ridiculous. If they really expected this show to have villains and heroes that were in the cartoon in the later episodes on the first episode, they don't have a clear grasp on reality and what can be done in an hour. While Batmanuel (Batman)may have been in the first episode with American Maid (wonder woman) and Big Shot (punisher)but that doesn't mean that this version should have it, the cartoon was kind of all over the place and it wasn't as dark and there probably wasn't as many copyright concerns with those characters as now in the age of suing everyone. This show is still good and stands on its own, I recommend everyone to check it out.
