  1. Trickysticks' Totally Valid Suggestions for Reorganizing Voice Chat Channels (TTVSRVCC for short)
  2.
  3. I'll preface this by saying that there are 27 voice chat rooms. That's a lot.
  4.
  5. -That Reception Room is there for what, exactly? I've never seen a single person in it.
  6. -Can't you just create and remove the Town Haul chat room when a Town Haul is/isn't happening? No need for it to be there all the time. It's not an intensive process.
  7. -Is Spaz so important that he needs his own channel for his streams? Make it Livestreaming 2, or delete it altogether.
  8. -AnimeHaul and Writing never have people in them, and does the group really need dedicated chat channels for them? Surely a mini room is fine for these?
  9. -What is Let's Play for? Can its purpose not be covered by the Gaming or Livestreaming rooms?
  10. -PSO2 and Walfas Free Company should be combined into one general purpose MMO room. This has the added benefit of letting people know what the room is actually for. This is a not so subtle jab at Walfas Free Company.
  11. -Super Fighting Robots??? Delete.
  12. -Trapcards and Tabletops should be combined into one room, if not outright deleted.
  13.
  14. That above is just general ideas for pruning that could be done. If you guys want to restructure things a lot more, read on.
  15.
  16. I think instead of being so specific, you guys would benefit from more general purpose chat rooms. Being so specific is a waste of space. Gaming 1/2/3 can easily replace the chat rooms for card games, tabletops, whatever Super Fighting Robots and Rika's Tank Battalion are for, and probably even the Let's Play room if you get creative.
  17.
  18. I also think that the rooms right now can be categorized under the following categories: Gaming, Collaboration, Streaming, and Other.
  19. So, why not have rooms tailored towards those?
  20.
  21. Other specialized rooms could be created upon user request, e.g since Overwatch is popular now an Overwatch room (or two!) could be handy.
  22.
  23. As an example, based on what I (admittedly flawed) think is popular nowadays.
  24.
  25. U-Haul
  26. Mini Room 1
  27. Mini Room 2
  28. Gaming 1
  29. Gaming 2
  30. Gaming 3
  31. Collaboration
  32. Livestreaming 1
  33. Livestreaming 2
  34. Mini-Room 1
  35. Mini-Room 2
  36. Overwatch
  37. LoL
  38. Some-Other-Popular-Thing

  41. This example is a total of 15 chat rooms. This gets rid of 12 super specific ones and gives more general purpose rooms that everyone will probably use more. This can be tailored towards the group's needs - maybe a lot of people do collabs and you need two rooms for that. Maybe you need FIVE gaming rooms for some ungodly reason. Adjust this to user demand - what is needed in general, and what is needed during specific instances.
  42.
  43. Also, the lack of an admin voice chat is a thing on purpose. Just make a different server for that. All the admins flocking to one place and everyone seeing it just makes me wonder w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶m̶a̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ what's happening. A separate server would probably benefit you guys a lot. When you're ready to make statements, use your admin logs chat.
  44.
  45. ...also an Extended Discussion voice chat is just asking for people who disagree to go ranting at each other in my opinion. I'd keep that to text. If not, just add that to the above and make it 16.
