  1. Rosenkrantz 1
  2. Rosenkrantz_GM IT IS THE 41ST MILLENNIUM...
  3. Rosenkrantz_GM The first of the events to gain one of the relics finds Lord-Protector Chomun, as "the Raven", Master Chymist 'Josef', and the genetor's remaining two mutants having to deal with the consequences of having failed in Spacehulk's series of challenges. They must now survive against a fierce predatory beast from the Death World of Molokov.
  4. Rosenkrantz_GM The failure means more than just the loss of the relic. It means the loss of one of the fighters, albeit a mutant, and now the potential to lose more. From the viewing platform, Lord-Captain Friedrich, Master Mort, the Purser's Mate, and Dennis watch... unable to see their fighters who remain inside the pyramid in the center of the arena.
  5. Rosenkrantz_GM While the creature makes its way around the arena, looking for its prey, you are interrupted by a knock on the door to your private viewing booth.
  6. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz clears his throat, before motioning one of the guard to check the door
  7. Rosenkrantz_GM The man in house colors nods, and goes to the door, opening it slightly.
  8. Rosenkrantz_GM A few words are exchanged, and the guard returns to the Captain.
  9. Rosenkrantz_GM "Priests, Lord-Captain. Some of the pilgrims that were rescued are here to see you."
  10. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz sighs " Master Mort, Update me when I return."
  11. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz then stands, brushing his clothes to remove any wrinkles, and steps out to meet these priests
  12. Baine_Mort "Will do, have fun Captain."
  13. Calvin_Colonel does a short bow
  14. Calvin_Colonel "Lord Captain. I hope I am not interrupting anything important."
  15. Rosenkrantz_GM The old, skinny man next to him, bows his head. The two wear different robes, markings of their respective cults and orders.
  16. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Well you are, but please continue." the stress of the last few days is evident on the young mans face
  17. Calvin_Colonel wears an unusually colorful robe - it has a colorful, prismatic motifs, instead of the usual monochromatic attires
  18. Rosenkrantz_GM "Indeed," the old priest adds. "However, we felt we had to come and thank you in person, on behalf of those you rescued... and of course, in your efforts to acquire the holy relics."
  19. Calvin_Colonel "We do apologize."
  20. Rosenkrantz_GM "Verily," the aging priest says, his head nodding while trying to control an involntary tremble.
  21. Calvin_Colonel remains steady
  22. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "We are doing our best to recover them, and I appreciate the sentiment." he nods to both the men "Now, is there anything else?"
  23. Calvin_Colonel "If I could be so bold, Lord Captain, I believe you may benefit from an experienced Ministorum agent in your crew."
  24. Rosenkrantz_GM "Well, Lord-Captain..." some hesitation is evident as the older priest seems taken aback by the forwardness of the younger missionary.
  25. Rosenkrantz_GM "There is a matter more pressing than that, I am afraid."
  26. Calvin_Colonel smiles "Yes, of course. Go on, brother."
  27. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Ah..." he says, realizing the irony of the situation, before turning to the elder priest "More pressing?"
  28. Rosenkrantz_GM "Yes... While we are certain of the commitment you and your most gracious family have to the Imperial Creed, and thusly dismiss the malevolent rumors outright, we wanted to address talk of action most heretical that must be prevented at all costs."
  29. Rosenkrantz_GM "An entity most vile is said to be after one or more of the relics, Lord-Captain. Witches, servants of powers most corrupt, who have contacted all who participate in this horrific spectacle in order to acquire the Holy relics for their own obscure and heretical purposes."
  30. Calvin_Colonel nods and makes the sign of the Aquilla
  31. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I have been contacted." he says, prepping himself for the conversation to come
  32. Rosenkrantz_GM The old man takes a deep breath.
  33. Rosenkrantz_GM "And, certainly, these despicable heretics were dismissed outright?"
  34. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I honestly have not contacted them back, my focus was on retrieving the artifacts."
  35. Rosenkrantz_GM "Well, Lord-Captain, one's soul must at all times be protected from the corruption that seeks to taint it. Allow one of us to stay by your side to advise you."
  36. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Well... I am well versed in the Words of the Emperor..." he says, uncomfortably
  37. Calvin_Colonel "Lord Captain, there is no need to be prideful. It is men such as ourselves who dedicate their lives to learning His Holy Creed - that is what allows men such as yourself to dedicate themselves more fully towards... other matters.."
  38. Rosenkrantz_GM "Indeed," the old missionary nods.
  39. Baine_Mort continues to watch the beast in the arena search for its prey, his thoughts go out to Josef and Chomun that they will defeat the beast.
  40. Rosenkrantz_GM You see the beast begin to climb up the side of the pyramid.
  41. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I see... well if you come up with a suitable candidate I would happily review their credentials ."
  42. Calvin_Colonel grins and puts a hand in his robe
  43. Calvin_Colonel produces an ornamented steel canister with the Ecclesiarchy's sigil "Behold, sir, a Reliquary of Saint Drusus."
  44. Rosenkrantz_GM "We are at your service, of course. I have lead my flock for half a cent--" he abruptly stops at the younger, more ambitious missionary's display.
  45. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz looks between the two priests
  46. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Am...am I choosing between the two of you?"
  47. Rosenkrantz_GM The creature claws its way up, finding, finally, a way in. Disappearing into the pyramid.
  48. Rosenkrantz_GM "Young Colonel," the old man mispronounces the name, "is a most talented young missionary. I, however, can offer you wisdom of a lifetime of service to His most Holy cause."
  49. Baine_Mort "Looks like its going after them, may the emperor protect them." Mort says to himself.
  50. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz listens to the old man, before turning tothe Younger, waiting for his explanation
  51. Rosenkrantz_GM "Have no doubts about it, Master Mort. The Lord-Protector will tame the vile beast."
  52. Rosenkrantz_GM -says Dennis
  53. Calvin_Colonel "While I do not dispute my associate's experience, sir, I believe that my more, ah, dynamic methods are better suited for one such as yourself, as well as the spiritual integrity of your crew.
  54. Calvin_Colonel "And it's *Colonel*, brother."
  55. Rosenkrantz_GM "Such deviations from tradition may court with the impure..."
  56. Calvin_Colonel "Oh, certainly not. I simply adhere to a different tradition in this particular case."
  57. Calvin_Colonel "Would one administer the same sermons and lessons to the Guard as well as nobility?"
  58. Baine_Mort "I hope your right Dennis, I hope your right." Mort say.
  59. Rosenkrantz_GM "I trust the young Captain to make the right decision."
  60. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Seeing the opportunity, looks to the younger man "Forgive me, but I do believe that my crew would do better with Mr.*Colonel* here."
  61. Rosenkrantz_GM The aged missionary's eyes widen in surprise.
  62. Calvin_Colonel grins smugly "Certainly. Whatever the result, I will submit to my proper place in the hierarchy of our most Holy Imperium."
  63. Rosenkrantz_GM "I... see."
  64. Calvin_Colonel gives him an almost-but-not-quite shit eating grin
  65. Calvin_Colonel "Emperor bless and keep you, brother."
  66. Rosenkrantz_GM "May you serve the interests of the Emperor's holy cause... brother," the word feels hard to pronounce.
  67. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Now, I have a fight to get back to, you may join me if you like... and what would you like me to call you?" he Indicates at Calvin
  68. Rosenkrantz_GM "Lord-Captain," he bows, and leaves without further ceremony.
  69. Calvin_Colonel "Missionary Calvin Colonel Trishermius of Hilarion, sir. But Calvin is fine."
  70. Calvin_Colonel "And I would be happy to join you."
  71. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz nods before returning to the booth
  72. Calvin_Colonel takes a seat and a drink
  73. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Mort, Update me."
  74. Baine_Mort "Welcome back captain, the creature has entered the pyramid and that is all at the moment."
  75. Rosenkrantz_GM When you enter, you find both Mort and Dennis both intensely looking down at the arena. As soon as the young servant realizes you've entered, however, he immediately approaches with a bottle of refined amasec for the Captain and his new guest.
  76. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Thrilling..." he says, grabbing the whole bottle from the servant, then taking a large swig
  77. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I'm sure you should refrains from intoxicants." he says to Calvin
  78. Rosenkrantz_GM "Perhaps I can offer your holiness something else?" the attentive young servant asks.
  79. Calvin_Colonel "Some tea, thank you."
  80. Rosenkrantz_GM The young man nods, and soon returns with hot water, and several selections of tea.
  81. Rosenkrantz_GM At this moment, Spacehulk makes himself visible to all.
  82. Rosenkrantz_GM "You came here to see death! A bloody struggle!"
  83. Calvin_Colonel smiles and picks something herbal
  84. Rosenkrantz_GM "We open the arena to the death wagers!"
  85. Baine_Mort "Captain we need to bet, we could give members a weapon to fight this thing."
  86. Baine_Mort "If we don't they another beast could be release."
  87. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "How do these bets work?"
  88. Baine_Mort "Who ever is the highest bidder will have the decision."
  89. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz upon hearing this, nods to the purser
  90. Baine_Mort "Pretty much who ever has the highest bid can help or hinder the remaining teams."
  91. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz Well, we will make that us."
  92. Rosenkrantz_GM The door opens.
  93. Rosenkrantz_GM The man introduces himself as your herald, and explains that he will be the one to communicate your bid. He and the purser sit together as the bidding round is opened.
  94. Calvin_Colonel "What are we offering?"
  95. Rosenkrantz_GM "My Lord, the bidding has opened. We may bid on a weapon or equipment drop, or on bringing another fighter into the arena. Alternatively... we could bid on having another creature added."
  96. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "We will start with a weapon."
  97. Josef The sight of the creature disturbs the Genetor. He hesitates in his actions.
  98. Josef [redact]
  99. Baine_Mort "Captain, why not send me in with a big gun? I could help them take it out."
  100. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "That's not a good idea."
  101. Baine_Mort nods, though not liking the idea of not sending in back up as well.
  102. Rosenkrantz_GM The purser begins discussing with the herald, making offers, and counter offers, until finally he turns to the Captain with a nod and a smile.
  103. Rosenkrantz_GM "The bidding has closed! The fighters have relief! A mezoa-pattern power fist to fight the horror inside!"
  104. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "I'll take that as good news?"
  105. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Wonderful! the Lord-Protector is gonna owe me a drink!"
  106. Calvin_Colonel "May the Emperor grant His protection to our valiant fighters."
  107. Rosenkrantz_GM The purser approaches you, "Lord-Captain, during the next bidding round, we may simply request extraction."
  108. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "We shall hold off for now."
  109. Josef gets the revealed the powerfist and charges the monster.
  110. Josef finally does some damage with the Warhammer and Powerfist.
  111. Calvin_Colonel "Quite the warrior. How did you find him?"
  112. Baine_Mort "We have our sources."
  113. Rosenkrantz_GM With the creature dead, the round comes to a close, and soon the announcement is made that the winners will be receiving the relic in question very soon.
  114. Rosenkrantz_GM "Oh, dear," the purser says. "What an awful struggle."
  115. Baine_Mort "Damn."
  116. Rosenkrantz_GM "It appears, Lord-Captain, that this will prove more challenging than we had hoped."
  117. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "They better start preforming better." is all he says.
  118. Calvin_Colonel "The Emperor's Hand guides all, Lord Captain. I am confident in their- our success."
  119. Rosenkrantz_GM =====SKIPAROO======
  120. Rosenkrantz_GM You find yourselves together once more after the defeat. One of Lady Vivian's agents has joined in to brief you on matters outside of the actual fight.
  121. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Glad to see you all safe." he says reassuringly
  122. Rosenkrantz_GM "It is the opinion of Lady Vivian that alternate routes to acquire these relics should be pursued, Lord-Captain."
  123. Rosenkrantz_GM "A mission of some importance was carried out at her behest. A faction within Spacehulk's crew has been found ready to mutiny, with the right support. Further, our contacts with the docking official could be put to use."
  124. Makh_Chomun looks a tad dejected considering his embarassing display against the creature, and the failure to grab the relic. He perks up at the mention of this new plan, however.
  125. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Proceed with the mutiny."
  126. Rosenkrantz_GM "A man respected in his crew, Voidmaster Othen, stands ready to lead this faction and take command of the vessel."
  127. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Lord Chomun, you WILL get your revenge." he says to his friend with a smile
  128. Rosenkrantz_GM "The matter is one of timing, Lord-Captain. How soon shall the plan be put to action?"
  129. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Are the relics being held on the ship?"
  130. Calvin_Colonel "Hm... Perhaps I could enlighten these dissidents as to their true calling... That is, under our command, in the Emperor's name, of course."
  131. Makh_Chomun "That'd make me a happy man...oh yeah." His thoughts go back to someone...very briefly as the thoughts of his vengeance finally come back to him.
  132. Calvin_Colonel "Nothing quite like an agent of the Ministorum to legitimize what would otherwise be a mob of rabble."
  133. Calvin_Colonel "What can you tell me about this vessel and its crew?"
  134. Rosenkrantz_GM "All save two of them. The one that has been taken today, and the relic to be set for a prize on the next round. The rest all remain onboard his vessel."
  135. Josef "I'm glad we survived this situation."
  136. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Delay till we know the outcome of the next fight."
  137. Rosenkrantz_GM "Well, sir... holy man, it's a crew of slavers. Scum of the lowest variety. The vesel itself is dedicated to the transportation of their human chattle, with the ability to fight if need be. Analysis, however, shows it would pose a mediocre challenge to the Consequence."
  138. Calvin_Colonel "You may address me as Father, thank you."
  139. Calvin_Colonel smiles
  140. Rosenkrantz_GM "Father," the agent aknowledges.
  141. Calvin_Colonel "Well then... Slaves shouldn't be too hard to persuade, but the slavers themselves might pose more of a challenge."
  142. Calvin_Colonel "What of the crew? By which I mean the ones in charge of actually keeping the ship running."
  143. Baine_Mort "I'm glad we were able to get you that powerfist." Mort says to Josef. "Else it could have been really bad down there."
  144. Rosenkrantz_GM "Mostly slaves, Father. All kept in check by the brutal enforcers of Spacehulk's will."
  145. Rosenkrantz_GM "Their origins as varied as the worlds the slaver has plundered."
  146. Josef "The shock warhammers were not enough to inflict any sort of pain against the creature."
  147. Calvin_Colonel "Then this will be more difficult... Well, how shall the rest of you contribute? I imagine that even if my oratory fails, it could provide a vital distraction for the rest of us."
  148. Makh_Chomun "If you think that is the worst of it Josef, they could have made it a scavenging round. You go in with your hands and fight with whatever you can find. We at least had something."
  149. Josef "True."
  150. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz_ "Is there any way we could supply these slaves with better weaponry?"
  151. Rosenkrantz_GM "Speaking for Lady Vivian, in as much a capacity as I may, assassination of Spacehulk's enforcers among his crew will help the mutineers. As will the transportation of weapons and equipment to them."
  152. Calvin_Colonel "So it seems we will have to split our efforts - I am afraid assassniation is beyond me. In combat, I tend towards a more... blatant approach, so to speak."
  153. Rosenkrantz_GM "A plan to smuggle what we need onboard his ship has been made. If the mutiny is unsuccessful, it will be a suicide mission for those involved, but it is possible."
  154. Calvin_Colonel "Perhaps our Magos friend could infiltrate and disable certain crucial ship components as well."
  155. Rosenkrantz_GM "Is it your intention, Lord-Captain, to continue with the tournament?"
  156. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "How do our participants feel?"
  157. Josef "Infiltrating is not something I do purposely."
  158. Calvin_Colonel "Could you not, say, forge some credentials, pretend it's an inspection, perhaps?"
  159. Calvin_Colonel "A vessel as ramshackle as that one would indubitably welcome the ministrations of one as skilled as yourself, assuming they do not deduce where your true allegiance lies."
  160. Rosenkrantz_GM "As a matter of fact, we needn't forge anything. An official is already loyal to the Dynasty."
  161. Calvin_Colonel "Ah, excellent. That simplifies things."
  162. Calvin_Colonel "Please, do excuse my ignorance. I have yet to familiarize myself with the workings of this crew, but I am ever eager to do so."
  163. Makh_Chomun "You look like you've got gumption, Mr. Colonel. You'll fit right in."
  164. Calvin_Colonel "Why, thank you very much, Mr...?"
  165. Makh_Chomun "Makh Chomun. Lord Protector of the Rosenkrantz dynasty." Makh chuckles. "Though my appearance wouldn't really show that, would it?"
  166. Baine_Mort "Baine Mort, Master of Ordnance."
  167. Josef "I am Doctor Hesh GM - #32-603 "Josef". Colonel, is it? Might I ask you what your duties are?"
  168. Calvin_Colonel chuckles
  169. Calvin_Colonel "Well, Rogue Traders tend towards the unconventional, so I've heard, but I don't fault them for it. There are many ways to serve the Emperor."
  170. Calvin_Colonel "I am Father Calvin Colonel Trishermius of Hilarion, at your service. I am the vessel's new Confessor."
  171. Calvin_Colonel "A pleasure to make your acquaintances, I look forward to working alongside you all."
  172. Josef "Interesting. Welcome to the crew, Confessor Colonel."
  173. Baine_Mort "Hopefully you will last longer then the last one." Mort comments.
  174. Makh_Chomun "Hah! Couldn't take the eccentrics of our dear Captain, that one."
  175. Calvin_Colonel "Ah, I am quite accustomed to eccentricities."
  176. Rosenkrantz_GM "Father Calvin, as you are now in service to the Dynasty, might you enlighten us as to any knowledge you may have of these relics? Any intelligence at all we can gather would surely help us," the agent inquires.
  177. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "Especially this Figurepeice." he says
  178. Calvin_Colonel "The set itself once belonged to a missionary sent to the Expanse long ago... It may contain a message regarding his life's work. Needless to say, the Centerpiece is most... well, *central* to this message."
  179. Calvin_Colonel "It... Well, it is not to be studied lightly. The Ministorum may be angered if they find out we possess it and do not return it to them."
  180. Makh_Chomun "Hah!"
  181. Calvin_Colonel "My crewmates seemed convinced it was some sort of blasphemy."
  182. Calvin_Colonel "Naturally, I will support whatever decision you make, Lord Captain. I am at *your* command, now."
  183. Calvin_Colonel "Although I am admittedly biased."
  184. Calvin_Colonel "However, this message almost indubitably contains information on an artifact of great value... One your rivals no doubt covet for themselves."
  185. Calvin_Colonel "Why else would they have prevented me from studying it, after all? There must have been some selfish reason among my former brothers on that ship."
  186. Calvin_Colonel "Best not to let it fall into the wrong hands. But of course, it is your decision to make, I am but a humble servant of the Emperor and the Dynasty."
  187. Baine_Mort "Any clue to what it might be?"
  188. Josef "Yes, any information?"
  189. Makh_Chomun "Some sort of secret, boys and girls. I betcha."
  190. Baine_Mort "Captain, if we could find this other relic, it could bring great wealth to the dynasty, especially if its a ancient relic."
  191. Calvin_Colonel "It could be anything of great value, really. Perhaps the bones of an ancient saint, or a holy weapon... who knows?"
  192. Calvin_Colonel "Regardless, it must be of immense value, else they would not have gone through such trouble to hide it."
  193. Calvin_Colonel "But yes, Master Mort is indubitably correct. Such a find would exalt the Rozenkrantz name."
  194. Friedrich_Rosenkrantz "The only problem with that is the pirates."
  195. Calvin_Colonel "And that is why the Emperor has guided me to your service, Lord Captain. Surely a Rogue Trader with such a powerful ship can handle that rabble."
  196. Makh_Chomun "It's when the rabble is perceived to have more guns and men than you that it's a problem, Mr. Colonel."
  197. Calvin_Colonel "That is why we must attack them from within."
  198. Calvin_Colonel "I am not a military man, sir, but I trust our martial skills and the Emperor's favor."
  199. Makh_Chomun "I like this confessor."
  200. Calvin_Colonel smiles widely
  201.
  202.
  203. Rosenkrantz 2
  204. Makh_Chomun "Now things get interesting." Makh grunts.
  205. Josef "Interesting? Concerning I would say."
  206. Rosenkrantz_GM The screech once more pierces the sense of all in the arena.
  207. Josef "Suggestions? Lord Cho....aven"
  208. Makh_Chomun takes his shock-maul and lightly hits Josef on the head with it. "Good thing we're down here and not up there."
  209. Makh_Chomun "Best thing I can think of is to find more favorable terrain and attack the thing all at once.
  210. Rosenkrantz_GM The mutants are uneasy, pacing every witch way.
  211. Rosenkrantz_GM which*
  212. Josef "Considering our situation where will we find a suitable terrain?"
  213. Makh_Chomun "Hmmm....we have the high ground..."
  214. Makh_Chomun "Josef, get your mutants ready, we'll make our stand here."
  215. Josef "Ready yourself my children! Another creature comes our way."
  216. Rosenkrantz_GM Indeed, the next of the creature's calls is much louder... the echo suggesting its origins from within the structure.
  217. Rosenkrantz_GM The mutants begin to roar... almost shouting, while looking this way and that. At one point bumping into one-another, causing a short scuffle.
  218. Makh_Chomun "We ambush it from here, take your places around the entrance, and make ready."
  219. Makh_Chomun backhands both of the scuffling mutants grabbing both by the collars of their clothing and slamming them into the wall, enough to bruise but not incapacitate. "FIGHT," Makh snarls, "OR I WILL KILL YOU."
  220. Rosenkrantz_GM They aren't calm, by any means, but at least they are reminded of their lot in life.
  221. Makh_Chomun "Survive this boys, and I'll reward you for this."
  222. Rosenkrantz_GM They fall in with the Genetor.
  223. Makh_Chomun nods his head. "Good lads." He readies himself for the coming attack.
  224. Josef prepares his warhammer for the worst.
  225. Rosenkrantz_GM You hear scraping and clawing.
  226. Rosenkrantz_GM And a faint, high-pitched noise every few seconds.
  227. Makh_Chomun keeps his breathing steady, smiling despite himself. This really brings me back, he thinks.
  228. Josef tries to lean in towards Chomun and whispers into his ear "The creature uses sound to find its prey."
  229. Rosenkrantz_GM A low growl, brief and close, echoes throughout the chamber. It is clearly near. But from which direction, you can't tell.
  230. Makh_Chomun gives the Genetor a thumbs up.
  231. Makh_Chomun bends down and finds the biggest handheld object he can chuck, and does so, away from their ambush so as to distract the creature.
  232. Rosenkrantz_GM The steps of the creature get faster and closer, its attention clearly taken by the object.
  233. Makh_Chomun motions for Josef to be ready, in a very slow quiet manner.
  234. Josef sees gesture and raises his warhammer.
  235. Rosenkrantz_GM The animal is huge. Twice the size of a man, and as bulky as an Astartes. It comes to view just at is pounces on the source of sound.
  236. Rosenkrantz_GM While it investigates the thrown object, it is unaware of your presence. For now.
  237. Rosenkrantz_GM As it comes into full view, however, you take it all in, seeing the horrific nature of the beast.
  238. Josef The sight of the creature disturbs the Genetor. He hesitates in his actions.
  239. Makh_Chomun Makh thought he had seen some shit. And truth be told he has seen some of the worst this galaxy can offer. That is until now. Something about the creature digs deep in Makh's psyche, something primal, something he hasn't felt since his darkest moments when he was still under Spacehulks employment. The Arch-Militant starts laughing, at first just a chuckle but in a matter of seconds it...
  240. Makh_Chomun ...evolves into what one can describe as demonic cackling. In his madness he attacks one of his allies instead of the creature.
  241. Makh_Chomun Thankfully the unhinged version of Makh is not very good at placing his hits. He misses the mutant.
  242. Josef Mutant #001 charges the beast and strikes it. The creature was not affected.
  243. Rosenkrantz_GM A panel opens inside the pyramid, a green glow displaying a weapon mount. A powerfist has been granted to you.
  244. Rosenkrantz_GM The beast charges at Josef, in one horrifying leap.
  245. Josef parries the attack of the monster.
  246. Josef gets the revealed the powerfist and charges the monster. He finally does some damage with the Warhammer and Powerfist.
  247. Makh_Chomun In his manic state Makh has been attacking the creature, the first time he somehow skips the weapon off the creatures armor, the second hit however, connects solidly with the thing's arm. It gives a nice meaty impact but it doesn't seem to do much beyond that.
  248. Josef starts striking the creature until the beast can no longer able to move.
  249. Josef "Raven, we need to move before more... 'surprises' show up."
  250. Makh_Chomun Somehow, through sheer gore and blood, and the fact that the creature has stopped moving, Makh snaps out of his mania. His laughter finally abates as he kneels and comes to his sense.
  251. Makh_Chomun moves his helmet a bit so he can spit some blood to the sandy ground before he looks to Josef. "Round's over by the sound of it."
  252. Josef "/Round?/"
  253. Rosenkrantz_GM You are allowed to exit the arena, and recuperate. You're told that the next few rounds will be dueling events, and that your survival has made you contestants in these.
  254. Makh_Chomun exits after taking a trophy from the dead creature. He uses the power-fist to take one of the creatures fore-paws.
  255. Josef follows behind Lord Chomun. He wanders what other challenges await them.
