Why cant you just tell him you got hurt

Covet: Felix pulled the jeep up to the park and looked in the back to see Penny bouncing around the backseat overtop of Nugget who was too short to actually look out a window at this point and was just sitting there in a wrinkly pile on the seat. "They both seem so excited for this." He smirked clearly being sarcastic.
Alexithymiaa: -She swiveled around in the passenger seat to look behind them at the two dogs, giving a little laugh. "Right? Although I think Nugget might have Penny beat. Just by a hair." Grabbing the radio at her feet, she shoved the door open and climbed down out of the Jeep, whistling for the dogs as Penny bolted down out of the car followed by a much slower moving Nugget who needed some help. "Come on guysssss it's park time."-
Covet: "Totally, the excitement is just a fountain off of him right now." Felix laughed and climbed out, reaching in to Grab Nugget, because he was too short to jump down on his own. Putting him down on the ground, he wathced as Nugget waddled off in the same direction as Penny. "Poor little dude... needs to grow into his legs a bit. He can't keep up at all."
Alexithymiaa: "To be fair, no one can keep up with Penny." She started off in the direction Penny had taken off to run in the grass, glancing over at Felix. "So yesterday we were discussing fundraisers for cheer. And they decided to do a sort of benefit showcase and a camp."-
Covet: "I think she'd tire that Flash guy out." Felix said. Nugget stopped running after Penny when he founds something that smelled amazing and interesting in the grass and required his attention. Hearing Steph he turned his head, "Oh? That's cool. what kind of showcase are we talking?"
Alexithymiaa: "That Flash guy?" She repeated with a fucking face. "As in The Flash? As in Barry Allen? You're like a martian. Remind me to start educating you on the important things in life. Like basic comicbook knowledge..." She let out a sigh, stopping in the grass and leaning down to set the radio at her feet. "Like a dance cheer showcase. We didnt hash out all the details yet, but I imagine we'll all get to choreograph a routine for us to perform. Which is why I brought the radio along with us so I could do a little bit of practicing."-
Covet: "Oh? Well if you're going to dance here in the park, I'll totally let you know if it's looking good or not." Felix offered immediately with a grin. "Are you going to do it like.. on a picnic table or something?" He asked looking around.
Alexithymiaa: "Well it's cheer dancing so it's got gymnastics and jumps and shit like that in the routine. Not exactly picnic table friendly. I just figured I could brainstorm while the dogs run and frolic." She said with a shrug, leaning over to connect her phone to the little radio, playing a mash up mix that was dancey enough for experimenting. Covet: "Oh, so the basic version of dancing then?" Felix asked raising an eyebrow at her. "If I'm dancing.. how am I supposed to watch you dance? And who's going to make sure the dogs stay out of trouble." He said with a chuckle, listening to the music she'd put on. He sat down on the grass stretching out his legs as he leaned back.
Alexithymiaa: "Hey, you're the one who never sits still. I just thought you might want to dance too." Her eyes flicked over to the dogs, watching Penny walk in circles around the tree sniffing and being interested with Nugget following behind sniffing. Every dog in Portland has probably peed on that tree. She took a few steps back from him, swinging her arms around in front of her for a whip and jumping up, her legs moving in a right hurdler jump, then a left hurdler jump, a toe touch followed instantly by a standing back tuck. "Combos like that usually go over pretty well."-
Covet: "Well if that's how you expected me to dance that's not happening." Felix said with a chuckle watching her do her jumps. "I can do the backflip and that's about it." He reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a tooth pick to put in his mouth. "It looks cool though, I can see why the crowd would like it. I assume there is more that's gong to go with it?"
Alexithymiaa: "Well yeah. It's just an element to a routine. So maybe..." She trailed off, lowering her arms into a low V position before kneeling into the grass. She spun on her knees in a fluid motion with the music until she was on her butt, kicking her feet up into a straddle and popping back up onto her feet to add the jump and back tuck combo together. "See? Choreography. I want to come up with a whole routine to show the rest of the girls and see if they like it."-
Covet: "Oh, okay. I see. That was pretty hot." Felix said chewing on his tooth pick, his eyes never leaving her body. " I bet they will like it. It's not like you don't know what you are doing or anything. Did I tell you coach was pretty proud of us for our win last week?"
Alexithymiaa: "That wasnt even anything special." She said with a laugh, planting her hands on her hips and raising her brows. "Oh yeah? I'm not at all surprised considering you guys played pretty well. So was your practice essentially a 'keep up the good work' kind of practice?' She asked, moving her feet in time with the music and swaying her hips.-
Covet: "Yeah, Coach said she was going to hunt down our opponents games so that was can check them out and make sure our defense skills aren't getting rusty because our Offense is boss." Felix said with a chuckle. "I'm not all that surprised either. Hell, Adam's put in a lot of work and between me him and Remy we've pretty much got it handled. We just ran som drills last night before we were good to go."
Alexithymiaa: -She leaned forward and planted her hands flat in the grass, kicking her feet up into a handstand and holding her body there as she listened to him. "You've all worked hard so you deserved that win. Accept that maybe everyone's luck is finally changing a little."-
Covet: Felix quickly stood up and walked over to Steph, then reached down to tickle her sides as she was upside down, "Yeah, well... not to toot my own horn, but... the luck started changing when I got here... sooooo... I don't want to say it was me, but it was totally me."
Alexithymiaa: -She started to laugh, walking away from him on her hands before lowering one foot and then the other. "Hey, cut it out! So does that mean we should all consider you our lucky charm? Because I have to say, you've definitely been mine." She moved away from him and took a running start, throwing her hands out in front of her and catching herself on them as she tumbled forward into a round off, pushing off into a back handspring series. As she reached the end of her pass, she pushed off hard, popping herself into the air for a double full, her body twisting around fast and landing hard on her feet. Feeling a sharp pain in her right knee, her legs collapsed underneath her, her weight falling to her butt with her legs stretched out in front o fher. Clenching her jaw to keep herself from making any sort of actual reaction, she just sat still in the grass, not flinching.-
Covet: "See... you're just proving my point here. I'm going to get the dogs rounded up real quick so we can get headed back to the house." He told her as she moved away from him. Turning around he missed her the issue with her knee, then he called out when he walked around the tree, "What are you two doing? Nugget... what are you covered in!?" He picked up the pup then held him out, "Oh god, that is rank. You are a bull-dog. not a pig- dog. We don't roll around in... rotting.. burrito? I think? Steph!.... Penny might need a bath" As if she needed that on top of hurting herself. So much for that good luck eh?
Alexithymiaa: (HAH I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE)
Alexithymiaa: -She bit down on the tip of her tongue, swallowing hard and then looking over in the direction he was with the dogs. "Oh... uh... okay!" She called out to him, trying her best to disguise any discomfort in her voice. She pushed her hands underneath her, slowly lifting her weight off the crowd and resting most of it on her left leg. "You'll have to take them in the back when we get home." She called out to him, limping her way over to the radio to turn off the music and picking it up. "I'll meet you by tge car!" She turned and started off toward the car slowly, not wanting him to see her limping or to notice anything suspicious.-
Covet: [LOL I know.. I'm lame]
Covet: "She might be okay, but... Nugget is a hot mess right now." He said making his way over holding the pup out in front of him, to which Penny was much amused by this and was jumping up trying to nip at his feet as she followed along with them to the vehicle. Because of this he didn't notice Steph's limp or anything, and then pouted, "This smell better come out of seat little dude." . Nugget was panting with that big goofy grin look, clearly amused with himself.
Alexithymiaa: "I'll clean your car out tomorrow." She said quickly to him because dont blame the poor happy puppy. Waving Penny into the Jeep, she primarily used her arms to climb into the Jeep, gingerly pulling her leg in after her and closing the door. "Let's just head home so you can deal with the source of the smell."-
Covet: "Yeah, Thankfully we're not far from there." He said as he started up the car and rolled the windows down up front, for ventilation. "I'll give both dogs a bath when we get there, since I was supposed to watch them while you were dancing."
Alexithymiaa: "Outside." She reminded him because that was a very important detail in the smelly dog saga. It also gave her time to get into the house while he was in the back fussing with the dogs.-
