  1. Q: How do you 100% Animal Crossing City Folk?
  2.
  3. A: 100% includes:
  4.
  5. Full Catalog
  6. Full Museum
  7. All Golden Tools
  8. All Bugs
  9. All Fish
  10. All Nook Upgrades
  11. All Hybrids
  12. All K.K. Songs
  13. All Town Upgrades
  14. All Player Flags (All Debts x4)
  15.
  16. Q: What are the rules for this?
  17.
  18. A: Limited Glitches, No Pre-Existing Save Data, Wiimmfi is allowed, and DS Transfer is allowed.
  19.
  20. Q: What is Wiimmfi?
  21.
  22. A: Wiimmfi is a custom made server that allows users to play online in DS and Wii games. If you'd like to read more about it, click here: https://wiimmfi.de/
  23.
  24. Q: What glitches are allowed in this? ("Limited Glitches")
  25.
  26. A: The only glitch I am allowing is the duplication glitch ONLY for bells. Anything else would kind of break the game like Scallops for Pascal, different colored candy for Pave, Old Wallpaper/Flooring for Saharah, and a huge one being the Magic Lamp from Wisp which allows you to get a new item each time so duping it would defeat the purpose of the whole challenge. LHG (Letter Header Glitch) from Wild World is also banned as that lets you get any item in the game.
  27.
  28. Q: Any restrictions on DS Transfer?
  29.
  30. A: The only restriction on DS Transfer is not having any pre-existing save data. So before you ask, no I can't use my 100% save file to transfer to City Folk. Everything has to be from a fresh file. Also to note there is an in game restriction on transferring items. That is any "Not for Sale" items in City Folk will not transfer (Gulliver items, Snowman series, etc.)
  31.
  32. Q: Why are you playing Wild World?
  33.
  34. A: Because there are 3 items from Wild World appear in the catalog in City Folk, but are not in City Folk. Those items are:
  35.
  36. Miniature Car (Nook's)
  37. Birthday Card (Nook's)
  38. Four-Leaf Paper (Nook's)
  39.
  40. So I'll be playing Wild World early on and transfer whatever I get along with it into my City Folk file.
  41.
  42. Q: What about homebrew?
  43.
  44. A: The only thing I'll allow through homebrew is making backups of my save data just in case something goes wrong like data corruption or whatnot. (THIS IS ONLY FOR MAKING BACKUPS ONLY, NO SAVE SCUMMING) Fun fact I was originally gonna allow homebrew for hacking in the Korean items and getting them through the use of an emulator since the actual disc for the KOR version is impossible to find anywhere but funny enough as I was reading through this FAQ again it reminded me to check on ebay to see if anyone's selling it (no one ever does) and I somehow found someone selling it BRAND NEW for $100 so I just impulse bought that. LMAO
  45.
  46. Q: Don't you need homebrew to use Wiimmfi though?
  47.
  48. A: Actually you don't! You can enter custom DNS settings into your internet settings to connect to Wiimmfi servers. Then you can run an exploit to enter the disc patcher application without the use of an SD card or homebrew channel. There's a video by MrBean35000vr explaining it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CBSQ9Afqiw
  49.
  50. Q: What was all the DLC in City Folk?
  51.
  52. A: Here's the list of DLC: https://animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/Distributed_Items_(City_Folk)/North_America
  53.
  54. Q: What about DS Suitcase?
  55.
  56. A: DS Suitcase is pretty much the local play of City Folk. It's similar to GC as in you can only visit the other player's town, but not play together. This is very helpful in getting the Katie items, as it does work after some testing, and I'll be doing it like this as opposed to using Wiimmfi because this is something you can ALWAYS do no matter what compared to Wiimmfi which could not last forever. (this is similar to why I did local play only in Wild World)
  57.
  58. Q: Time estimate?
  59.
  60. A: Probably over 200 hours, maybe more. Seeing as Wild World was over 200 hours, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more.
  61.
  62. Q: Are you gonna finish max% no chores?
  63.
  64. A: Probably not. It's just not fun to me anymore and doesn't seem worth finishing.
  65.
  66. Q: ur e
  67.
  68. A: yes
