  12. He blows shit up.
  13.
  14. Everyone dreams of either living in or visiting Italy; it’s a beautiful country with an even more beautiful culture, but it wasn’t like that for everyone. At least not the De Luca family. Antonio and Isabella De Luca had two children they loved very much, who they’d do anything for, which included packing up and moving to the states so that Antonio could work. They had more family members out in Chicago, so moving there seemed a lot easier. The move, however, seemed to affect Atticus in a lot of ways, causing him to rebel significantly. Worried that his son would stray down the wrong path, Antonio spent more time with him.

  16. The boy specifically loved to build stuff, and his intelligence showed when he assembled a small bomb to blow up an unused water pipe in the neighborhood that the city wouldn’t remove no matter how many complaints they received. Children kept falling on it and getting hurt, so Atticus decided that enough was enough and blew it up. In order to keep his skills under control so that he didn’t blow up anything important, Antonio built with him. Over the years, his skills developed, but unfortunately, Mr. De Luca’s health declined. He spent less time with his son and more time in a hospital bed receiving treatment. The family could barely afford the medical bills, but Atticus was desperate to keep his father alive. At 15, he met a very bad man that hired him to build a bomb big enough to blow up a bank vault, but Atticus never got paid. Instead, he was framed entirely for the crime and was placed in Juvie. As he served his sentence, his father passed away.
  17.
  18. When he got out his mother had remarried. It’d happened so fast that Atticus couldn’t help but hold resentment for Isabella. It felt as if she was simply trying to fill a void, insulting his father’s memory in the process. His stepfather, Jerry, wasn’t the kindest person either. He made fun of Atticus’ dreams and constantly bullied him for the way he dressed and acted. When Jerry overheard him telling a friend on the phone about his sexuality, his abuse grew worse. It was obvious that his father was as bigoted as he looked, but Atticus didn’t stick around to tolerate it for long.
  19.
  20. For a while he did rogue work, taking on different jobs to make money and survive. It wasn’t until he Alexei when he was twenty-three that he really found his place in the world. A brotherhood. He felt whole for once. He still keeps contact with his little sister, but still hasn’t forgiven his mother.
