- Covet: Felix walked into the house, closing the door behind him he threw his jacket over the post at the end of the stairs. He had a mangled toothpick in his mouth and his hair looked like he'd been playing with it all day. Walking over to the fridge he opened it up and just stared inside for a moment. He had his hearing aid turned off for the time being, since he was pretty much in his head all day anyways.
- Alexithymiaa: -Steph hadn't slept all that much last night since she'd been waiting up for Felix and then had kind of just passed out on the kitchen table, so she was exhausted. She'd been waiting around for most of the day for him to come home and therefore had started to dose off on the couch with a pile of cats around her. When she heard the door, she snapped up, blinking a few times and staring at the kitchen to watch him until her brain cleared. "Felix..."-
- Covet: Felix continued to stare into the fridge then sighed closing it, walking over to the stool at the counter and just kind of slumped into it, leaning across the counter, having not noticed Steph amongst the cushions and cats.
- Alexithymiaa: -She furrowed her brows as she watched him, her heart breaking for him since he was so clearly torn up. She climbed to her feet and adjusted the oversized shirt she'd stolen from his drawer, walking over to him and putting her hand on his shoulder. "How are you doing?"-
- Covet: Looking over at her he reached up to turn on his hearing aid and spoke up. "What? Sorry, I was tuned out." Felix asked and explained to her.
- Alexithymiaa: -She chewed on the inside of her cheek, stroking her hand back over his hair. "I asked you how you were doing. We haven't really talked..."-
- Covet: "Yeah... Sorry about that. I don't really know what to say. My stomach has been in knots, haven't really ate anything today either. You look tired." He said giving her a concerned look.
- Alexithymiaa: "Tell me what's on your mind. Besides how you think I look after being worried sick about you all night." She said, moving around the island and into the kitchen to start taking things out of the cabinets, setting a cutting board down and a knife because of course she intended to feed him.-
- Covet: "Ah, I guess that's my fault. My bad. I didn't say it was bad, just that you looked tired." He said, "You didn't need to worry. I just took a drive along the River. There wasn't a whole lot of traffic, and once I found a safe place to stop, I just went out there to think and take a breath. I told you I wasn't going to do anything crazy."
- Alexithymiaa: "Uhuh..." She mumbled, taking a couple of potatoes from the basket on the counter and beginning to slice them in thin pieces. "You weren't in a good frame of mind. Just because you said you werent going to do anything crazy doesnt mean I wasnt going to be worried about you. And frankly I still am."-
- Covet: "I'm fine. It's nothing I didn't see as a possibility of happening. I'm just pissed about how my mom went about it. I get why, but the fact that she willingly and openly accepted him in, without saying something to us first. And to Add insult to injury she told you and Seb, and couldn't even tell me." Felix said venting a little.
- Alexithymiaa: "I know. That's part of the reason why I was so upset." She said as she finished slicing the potatoes, grabbing a baking sheet and brushing it down with olive oil before laying the slices down. "After everything that's happened, she felt he deserved the opportunity to apologize and talk to you. I don't understand it. And I guess if she'd asked first she thought you would say no. Of course you'd say no. But why isn't that an okay answer?" She asked harshly, getting herself riled up about it all over again.-
- Covet: "Because she wants me to be okay with this, and I don't know how I'm supposed to be okay with this. But then I feel like that makes me a hipocritical asshole, because I go on and on about how we're changing for the better, [you liar, you went back to smoking!] and then I can't fathom accepting that he's changed too? And what the fuck She's seen him since he's left. Granted she turned him away, but even still, sholdn't we have been told?"
- Alexithymiaa: "First of all, you and I changing is not the same. We never turned our backs on our family (HA) or our responsibilities or hurt anyone in the process (HA I hate them). We've owned up to our shit and are making it right. You're twenty two years old, where the fuck has he been to make things right? Why now?" She asked sharply, spicing up the nice potato slices and turning to shove the tray into the oven. "Not to mention the fact that he was abusive and that's just a little harder to forgive than oh I don't know some random bad habits. I don't know how old you guys were when he came back around to her, but she should have told you before now. Before I told you."-
- Covet: Felix just stared at her, then gave a slight chuckle. "I appreciate the way you're going to bat for me so hard. It means a lot. But I also know how addiction works, and the effect it can have on the mind. I don't want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time...I don't want to be the asshole that refuses to forgive him and not give him the chance to at least apologize. And the reason for that is... Well it's stupid. And something I'd abandonned a long time ago." He said shaking his head.
- Alexithymiaa: "Of course I'm going to bat for you so hard. You're my family and I love you. Why wouldn't I?' She asked as she grabbed the dino nuggets from the freezer, spreading them out on a different baking tray. When he stopped, she looked up, pausing in her food making. "Lots of things are stupid. That doesn't mean we can't entertain ideas and amuse ourselves with our heads in the clouds."-
- Covet: Felix rubbed his head, his beanie making his hair even more of a mess. " It's not something like that though. When I was younger I would always day dream about the what if, what if he could change, and did...would that be better or worse?"
- Alexithymiaa: -She pursed her lips, turning to put his nuggets in the oven before walking around to stand next to him, wrapping her arm around his shoulders. "Well I guess you need to ask yourself how upset you would be if you let him in only for him to disappoint you again and if you think it's worth that."-
- Covet: Sighing he flopped back down on the island, "I don't know. Mom said that he was different in a good way. And she did turn him away before, so either he's putting forth all that effort because it's genuine, or because he's got ulterior motives. What does he want, or what's he getting out of reconciling."
- Alexithymiaa: "I wish I had those answers for you to make this an easier decision. If you're curious, you can agree to meet with him to at least see for yourself and decide from there if you want to give him the opportunity to make amends. And hell, why can't you ask him all of these questions? If he deserves the chance to apologize, you deserve the chance to ask."-
- Covet: "Because I'm also afraid that I'm going to instantly snap and and go off on him. Which he might also deserve, but that's not exactly how I want to handle it."
- Alexithymiaa: -She rolled her eyes behind his back because after everything he's told her, she kind of felt like that was the best way to handle his father. "Okay... but if that's how you're feeling in regards to him, that might be unavoidable and a reconciliation wouldn't be possible anyway."-
- Covet: "I know. I've been going over and over and over about all of this since last night." Felix said with a groan, pulling his beanie down.
- Alexithymiaa: "Well thankfully you have a few days until he's going to be in the area so you can think about what you want to do. And if you decide you don't want anything to do with him, then I'm not going to let him step foot on this property. I promise." She moved her hands to his beanie, gently tugging it back away from his face.-
- Covet: "I'd rather not meet him here at all. But.. Mom said she sent him here. So I guess we don't have a choice. I'd rather meet him somewhere public, where he doesn't get to see how well off I am without him, in case he does want something." Felix said witha groan to his tone.
- Alexithymiaa: "Exactly, we don't have a choice. Another reason I was so irritated with her yesterday. So like I said, I won't let him come anywhere near you if you don't want him to. Regardless of what he wants, he's not getting anything out of you.. How would he even know what your financial situation is right now to seek you out in the first place? Unless he Googled you, I guess..."-
- Covet: "Yeah, it wouldn't be that hard, I've got accounts to show off some of my photography. But if that was the case that seems like a pretty long con to go through my mom and get both her and my brother involved in it too." Felix said. " I hate this unkowning feeling. It's unsettling."
- Alexithymiaa: "I know... I'm sorry that you've being dragged through this." She said with a sigh, leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek. "What can I do to help distract you for the time being?" She walked over to the oven and pulled out both trays, getting the nuggets and homemade potato crisps dished onto a plate for him to slide across the counter.-
- Covet: "It's alright. I'm at least a little thankful it's happening now, where I can form my own opinion and choices about it." He said pushing his hat back, "Ketchup...Do we happen to have anything to smoke, or eddibles? Cause eating a little, getting high and taking a bath with you kind of sounds awesome." He said picking up a chip putting it in his mouth but it was still a little warm so he had to ehxhale breathe on it to cool it off.
- Alexithymiaa: "Thats true. A very nice little bright side you've got going on." She said with a smile which was more forced because she doesnt know how he's finding a bright side right now. She turned to grab the container of ketchup from the fridge, pushing it over to him. "I didn't bake anything, but I do have a little bit of weed leftover. I don't think I'm going to smoke with you though. I was kind of advised to avoid mind altering substances for a little while until I'm more settled into therapy." She rolled her eyes, still kind of off about the therapy thing.-
- Covet: "Eh, I'm trying at least." He said with a shrug as he continued to dig into his nuggets now too. " I understand, and I appreciate it... It's been a long day and I just need to relax a bit. Maybe it will help with a more clearer thinking."
- Alexithymiaa: "Maybe, but you know I'm going to be right there with you, whatever you want to do. And if you want to smoke, we do have chips and salsa for crunchy snacking while still not eating a bunch of processed crap." She said as she eyed him because with the way he smelled recently, she assumed he'd been consuming every chemical put in junk food.-
- Covet: "That's if I don't fill up on nuggets and best chips ever." He said the food picking up his mood, because of course it would.
- Alexithymiaa: -She smiled and leaned in to side hug him. "I'm glad you're enjoying. I actually learned the chip recipe from Bryan. He used to make those all the time so next time you talk to him, you can thank him for that one."-
- Covet: "I'm not thanking him for shit." Felix said as he nommed down on the fries, "But I am thanking you for making them for me. As soon as I'm done I'm going to go smoke, but if you wanted to get the bath running and all fancied up for a soak then I can join you as soon as I'm done."
- Alexithymiaa: "I had a feeling you were going to say that. Speaking of which, they're coming in soon to finalize wedding arrangements. He's sending me the dates soon. Just so you're aware." She went about getting the dishes into the sink and the counter cleaned up. "I have aromatherapy bath oils if you want. It'll help you relax."-
- Covet: "Oh sweet, Thanks for informing me" He said with a nod having practically inhaled his plate, he got up and went to go do the smoking things, "Doctor it up however you see fit Red. All I need in the tub to get relaxed is you." He told her with a smirk before stepping outside, giving the dogs a chance to go potty.
