    ◦ jihyo was the third born child to a couple in busan, south korea. growing up, she was always surrounded by her older brothers jimin and jihyun, who were quick to try and defend her from the rest of the world, claiming that they needed to save her innocence. she first got interested in becoming an idol through jimin, who had intentions to become an idol. her parents were very supportive of him, and jihyo was quick to announce that she would be his #1 fan, and always used to sit and watch in awe whenever he danced or sung for her. she was always the closest with him, because he constantly made time for her, and would always sit and talk to her and try and cheer her up when she was upset. so while he took an interest in dance, jihyo took an interest in playing the piano. she also liked to sing, but her vocals weren’t anything special, and were average at most. when it came to school, jihyo wasn't exactly top of the class, as she often got bored easily. her grades were mostly average, and the only think she really took an interest in was her music lessons, where she learned to play the piano. her brother was scouted by BIGHIT in 2011, and made it through, moving to seoul, leaving jihyo with her parents and jihyun. after he left, jihyo decided that she wanted to follow in her footsteps, and began to train, trying to become a better singer. she joined the entertainment company a year after her brother, through an audition, and was very surprised when she actually made it into the company.

PERSONALITY ┊
    ◦ jihyo is the maknae of the group no doubt. it is clear from the moment you look at her that she is the youngest, from the way she looks, and the way she acts. she is full of aegyo, and tends to just naturally ooze of cuteness, even when she tries not to be. she is a ball of sunshine, and absolutely hates it when other people are upset. she is the type of person to put her group mates first, before anyone else, and always make sure hat they are okay. she can sometimes act a bit like the mother of the group, only due to the fact that she can be extremely harsh when it comes to eating. if the members have not had a decent breakfast, she will not let them leave the dorm. if they get side tracked while recording and don’t have time to eat dinner, she will bring left over food to them, and sit there and watch them eat it, just to be sure. this can be a bit annoying, but the other members know that she means well, and at least she leaves the nagging to the manager. however, other than this, there is no way she could pass for the mother, because she is young, and therefore still immature. she’s only sixteen, and therefore hasn’t really grown up yet, and is still a child at heart. she’s not very good at reading other people’s emotions, and doesn’t really get that sometimes people just want to be alone, and not have to deal with her trying to cheer them up. however, she isn’t the type to take things personally, and usually brushes things off, thinking that the other person just had a bad day. this makes her easy to take advantage of, and while her group mates sometimes get annoyed by her, they are extremely protective over their maknae, and will beat you into tomorrow if you even think of doing anything bad to jihyo. however, her personality can take a total turn in front of boys, or on camera, or basically around anyone that she doesn’t really know. she tends to be more quiet and shy, around people she’s not comfortable with, and won’t talk unless they speak to her first. however, she is full of charms, and it doesn’t take much to have people falling for her aegyo or her pure innocence. she absolutely loves doing aegyo, and literally does it 24/7. however, on stage, she doesn’t talk much, mostly because she is very self conscious over what she says, knowing that there is at least a thousand people watching her every move. she is also very self conscious of her dancing, since she isn’t exactly the best in the group, but actually quite the opposite. she knows that fans expect a lot of her, mostly due to the fact that she is the younger sister of a member of the successful senior group, BTS, and that people expect her to live up to her brother.

    ◦ at the beginning, he's just a classmate towards her, since they both met at school in between their promotional periods. they were both training to become idols, and that was basically common ground between them, which made it easier to talk to him, since they had several of the same interests. however, she was never the one to initiate conversations, and relied on him to talk to her. towards the middle, they become a lot closer, and jihyo opens up a but more to him, since she trusts him now, and kind of starts to talk a lot more. (like a lot a lot, which she doesn't really do around anyone other than her family and the members of crush). after this, she lowkey starts crushing on him, because he is a really nice person (and he's good looking too), but she doesn't know what to do, so she starts acting awkward and flustered around him again, which leaves him really confused. however, once she blurts out that's the sort of has a crush on him, things slowly stop being awkward, and they go back to being close again (they don't have to date if you don't want them too), and they basically become that pair of best friend that everyone knows will get married one day.

    ◦ at the beginning, he actually thinks he's cute, but he doesn't know who she is, so he has to pester some of his classmates to tell him her name. at first, he doesn't really know how to talk to her, and he ends up being forced to go over their by one of his group members (probably HAECHAN or JAEMIN). they had a lot in common, but had to always try and start conversations, because jihyo never seemed to talk to him unless he spoke to her first, so they mostly just start with awkward talk. however, he is genuinely surprised (and happy) when she finally opens up to him, and starts talking around him a bit more. he still thinks that she's really cute, but refuses to admit he has a crush on her, despite everyone from nct telling him that he does. he notices that she slowly starts getting more flustered and awkward around him again, and he's kind of upset because he thought that she was finally opening up to him (and this is when he realises that hey, maybe he does actually like her) he's actually really pleased when she blurts out that she has a crush on him, and kind of just gives her a hug. he doesn't actually ask her out, but they become really really really close after this, to the point where they may as well actually be dating.
