- Alphys pushed her door open, and yelped when it hit Napstablook.
- Well - not hit, exactly. But Napstablook played the part, if a few seconds late, and dutifully moved backward and keeled over.
- "Sorry..."
- "No - I'm - it's fine," she stammered.
- Napstablook turned a shade more transparent and looked around. "Oh no..."
- "Really. It's fine. Do you, um, want to come inside?"
- They floated in, clipping slightly through the doorframe.
- "You... you made Mettaton's body, right..."
- "Y-yes?"
- Napstablook was silent for a few seconds.
- "I'm... going on a date with Shyren..."
- "Th-that's great!'
- "To a restaurant..."
- Napstablook paused again.
- "I don't think they have ghost food..."
- "Ah."
- Alphys waited a full ten seconds for Napstablook to continue.
- "Would you..." she started. A glimmer of hope appeared in Napstablook's eyes. "Would you like me to make you a body?"
- "Oh... that would be... really nice..."
- "I've, um, got some old prototypes in the back. Follow me."
- "I hope they're not so flashy..."

- Shyren sat waiting in the restaurant. She was alone, for once - her agent had the night off. Her date hadn't arrived yet.
- The squeaking of tiny wheels drew her attention. A metal object, roughly the shape and size of a shoebox, was rolling toward her table. There were a few panels and screw holes on its surface, but it was mostly featureless.
- Stilts telescoped from the bottom, lifted it into a chair, and retreated.
- "Hi..." sounded Napstablook's voice, a bit tinny from a speaker in the box.
- Shyren smiled.
