  1. LAMOST-1c finds itself in the middle of an ice age significantly lowering the overall temperature of the planet, this being the primary cause for the majority its landmasses' habitability for humans; Their proximity to the equator would make them scorching hot under more Earth-like climate conditions. The equator still remains exceptionally warm even then, as is to be expected, but sea ice covers a large portion of the polar circle and even directly connects the two major continents of the planet and major large temperature and boreal forests blanket the northern parts of the planet.
  2.
  3. Several vast regions of the planet have been deemed optimal for human life, but the planet is overall very similar to Earth in its climate and habitability. Many steppes, plains, and even vast deserts can also be found across the planet's surface, mostly its unnamed eastern continent but large tropical jungles also flourish in the western parts of the planet. Precipitations remain lower in several regions of the planet but nothing that would make it uninhabitable for humanity in the long run, these obstacles can be overcome with even the most primitive of technologies and sufficient acclimation to the environment at hand.
  4.
  5. The varied climates have led to an even more varied population of flora and fauna that spreads across the entirety of the planet's habitable surface. Unfortunately, the scans by the Chinese probe Pangu-00 have proven to be too low quality and outdated to give a more in-depth examination of the planet's life and how compatible it might be with humanity. But judging by the planet's overall similarity to Earth, Project Ark is willing to gamble that these life forms might be edible to humans, yet on the other hand, this means local bacteria and other harmful pathogens may be significantly more lethal to humans. The gamble remains one way or another.
  6.
  7. Unfortunately (Or maybe, fortunately), LAMOST-1c has shown no signs of sapient life in the form of signs such as radio waves or even structures or settlements able to be seen from space. This doesn't remove the possibility entirely but makes it highly implausible.
  8.
  9. Overall the planet shows incredible amounts of promise for future human colonization with the only major barrier being distance (the LAMOST-1 system finds itself at the very least around 100 Earth years away from our own planet, the fact Pangu-00 managed to remain active for such an incredibly long amount of time is almost miraculous, and how the CNSA at no point lost any hope or interest in the mission is beyond remarkable.) Several solutions have been theorized and brought forwards but none has been decided on so far. But let anyone who reads this know, that one way or another we are reaching LAMOST-1c and saving humanity as a species.

  11. This is our God-given last chance, let us not ruin it this time.
