  1. How long will it take an expired domain with good metrics to rank in Google?
  2. So, I bought this expired domain in November 2020.

  14. It metrics are as follows PA = 35, DA = 50 , TF= 4 CF = 37, RD = 680.
  15. It was on another niche but I changed it to a legal niche this 2nd week of January 2020, by importing all the contents on my main law site that has a low DA to this expired domain, so I can rank better on SERPs.
  16.
  17. I am already ranking Number 1 for virtually all my keyphrases on Yahoo, Bing, and on Baidu just less than 72 hours after importing my contents to this domain.
  18.
  19. The CMS I am using is WordPress with over 200 published contents with low keyphrase difficulties.
  20.
  21. My competitors' DAs are in the range of 19 - 25. But I'm not found anywhere on Google's SERPs even though the site is completely indexed by Google.
  22.
  23. Any idea of what is wrong with the site, or how long it takes an expired domain with good metrics to rank in Google?
  24. It depends on much more factors than that. I'd say 4 months minimum before you start to see impressive results in the Google SERPs.
  25. DA isn’t all that relevant. What are the backlinks?
  26.
  27. That TF/CF = 4/37 is a big red flag.
  28.
  29. Also, how big of a niche change? Quite possible this will never rank in your new niche if the existing backlinks are totally unrelated.
  30. DA isn’t all that relevant. What are the backlinks?

  35. But, as I said, it's ranking on other search engines.
  36. Backlinks = 940. It was on video game niche.
  37. Ranking on bing and Baidu is not particularly relevant (and yahoo uses bing results so isn’t a new data point).
  38.
  39. Video game to legal is a huge change? I doubt it will rank in google based on its history. The existing backlinks are totally unrelated to your new niche, so aren’t so helpful. If the content is good, maybe it will rank where it did on your old domain.
  40.
  41. DA is a really poor metric. The fact that TF is 4 while CF is 37 suggests to me the links are probably low quality. Obviously you know more about what the actual links are than we do.
  42.
  43. I’d be surprised is this is helpful in google serps at all.
  44. Google ranking and Yahoo/Bing ranking is a little different imo - ranking well on Yahoo/Bing, does not necessarily translate to good ranking on Google as the metric's importance are different I believe.
  45. Yahoo/Bing's spam filtering is a bit lesser effective as compared to Google, thus, there are still plenty of loopholes or domains that they have yet to downgrade its domain authority status, eg, 301 links, and can reap additional reward in authority when used.
  46. Google's spam filtering is too elaborative, and 301 links do not work anymore on Google.
  47. I think a better domain metric would be PA/DA>45, TF>30 would be an exceptionally good domain in Google's eyes instead.
  48. It only takes a week for me. I build the site fast and Google picks it up 2-3 days after installing WordPress. By one week the site is getting plenty of first page rankings for longtail keywords.
  49. What were the metrics of the expired site, and on what niche?
  50. Bing and Yahoo use the same algorithms to show up the SERP results. More so, Bing owns Yahoo which makes Yahoo not more than a web portal only with a different name. Further, Bing and Yahoo do not have a much-developed algorithm, as opposed to Google which has state-of-the-art algorithms for the industry. With such cutting-edge technology, it is effortless for Google to find out the irrelevancy of the niches here plus your low Trust Flow of your indicates low-quality backlinks. You can fix this at your end by running a full site audit of the website and see if anything changes.
  51. What were the metrics of the expired site, and on what niche?
  52. I've done this with many sites similar to yours in metrics even less some have a TF 0 that are indexing better than TF 10+ so I think the metrics miss some aspects. I just use google mostly for my domain assesments eg. how it's indexed, quality and relevance of backlinks ect.
