Being depressed doesnt give you the right to be a selfish piece of shit
Right now I lie in bed as my younger sister has a go at my mum for the upteenth time, over my mum wanting her to shower once a day. A fucking shower. Basic human cleanliness is somehow not mandatory. No wonder people on her bus say that she fucking smells.

And once again she's playing the fucking depression card, saying my mum can't understand what's going on and making her feel like a terrible shitty mum when she's not she's a fucking excellent mum. Exactly the same as early today, when I did all the chores by myself after dinner despite the rule being to split the washing up equally. I left her wiping the bench and cleaning the wok, both of which are piss easy. Wonder what card she'll play. You guessed it, fucking depression. 10 minutes later my dad's doing both.

She was a selfish cunt before she was depressed and now she has a way of getting out of anything. Combination for disaster.

I don't care if you have depression, we all have a mental demons, I've battled with my shit, but it shouldn't give you the right to walk over people who love you and are doing everything in their power to care for you.

For fuck sakes you're not going to hurt my feelings if you say nah not today. You WILL, however, piss me off if you say "I'll let you know" and then go dark for hours. I want to chill and I'll make time for it, but don't leave me hanging all day waiting for an answer. I just wasted an entire sunday because we had plans and when I brought it up I just get a "nah". And I know they were at home doing nothing because I saw their story on snap. I don't care if you say no but at least FUCKING SAY NO

People often say: "If I was there, I would've been their friend/girlfriend/or whatever, and given them a reason not to do it." You would not have been any of those things. I'd bet there is someone at your school right now who is planning on doing something similar, and nobody has thought twice about giving them a friend. We never know things until it's too late. Saying you would have been different is dishonest of yourself, as you too, wouldn't have given them a second thought.

It’s not cute or funny that your dog is morbidly obese.
This is directed at people who don’t see a problem over feeding treats or table scraps to their already obese dog/cat.

Your large dog should weigh around 75-90lbs but he doesn’t. He weighs 130lbs, and I can guarantee he wouldn’t be so snappy if he wasn’t in pain from bearing all that weight on his legs and having difficulty breathing. He looks up at me with sad eyes because he doesn’t understand why he’s feeling this way. I can count the number of fat pockets putting pressure on his spine. I can tell he’s fed up from struggling to waddle 50 feet from the car to the front door of my practice. I recall a time when he was young and at a healthy weight. He was happier back then. He didn’t have heart problems back then. Realistically, he shouldn’t have them now. Your dog is only 3 years old.

Your dog is only 3 years old and shouldn’t be getting regular blood pressure check ups or cardiovascular ultrasounds. Every single time, I have to politely tell you that his diet is the cause of every single one of his health problems. I have to refrain from asking the question,”Do you actually want to see your dog live a long and healthy life?” To you, it’s a joke that he’s so fat. You call him names and you think you’re being a good dog owner by bringing him in regularly. You are the reason he has to come in every couple of weeks. You are the reason your 3 year old dog is a high diabetic risk and bordering on Cushing’s disease. You are the reason you have to “spend all this money” for laser therapy treatments on his already arthritic knees. You chuckle and look at your dog while making a joke about how he eats like a horse. It’s not him, it’s you.

Special Needs Kids Should Go To A Specialized School
Before you downvote, wait,

First off, there are 6 who can’t speak and out of 6 only 1 does work, the rest just watch us in class, wouldn’t it be better if they could learn at their own pace? Right now they’re here just for decoration basically.

Secondly, the autistic ones, we have 4 of them and only 1 hasn’t done something that merits suspension, none of them have gotten a suspension, I’m going to number one two and three, number one cusses at people near teachers, whenever his caretaker looks away he gives people the middle finger just because, number two is hugging people whenever, even though everybody tells him not to, he once pushed me out of a line so I pushed him back and he screeched pretty loudly(he does that when he doesn’t get what he wants) and hit me on the back with a thermos, which again, merits a suspension, number three just calls the teachers ugly to their face, meriting a suspension.

Lastly, they just get made fun of constantly.

Fatherhood deserves more recognition and praise
We need to stop focusing on "mothers and their children" and start focusing on "mothers, 'fathers', and their children. Dads are always left out of the equation. The only time we really hear about fathers is when they are "deadbeat dads" this needs to change. I know so many "deadbeat dads" who have actually been pushed out of their kids lives by the mother and have to spend tens of thousands of dollars fighting for their kids in family court

I can’t believe how many people don’t use their turn signals.

Hi I’m a broke college student, I can’t afford to get into a car accident because you are too lazy to flip a lever in your car.

There’s literally no reason to ~not~ use your turn signals. They’re there for a reason and it takes 1 second to do it.

I posted a mini rant about this on Snapchat and some people literally replied saying they’re overrated or a plethora of other stupid reasons.

Imagine causing an accident because you were too lazy to indicate where you were going ??

One of my biggest pet peeves.

I attend university in a city 50 minutes away so I do a lot of driving - this is the common denominator of annoyance in my mornings

Ladies, stop telling me I need to smile. I know you hate it when men do it to you.
I'm a dude. And get a reasonable amount of attention from women.

But one thing I've noticed that I don't think we acknowledge that much?... Women are bad at handling rejection too. They're often just more passive-aggressive about it. The number of times I've had women attempt to emasculate me or insinuate I'm gay when rejecting them is insane. That or they become incredibly rude to you.

Also, has anyone else noticed that the rulebook most younger women play by is completely thrown out the window when they get older?... Pretty much everything I see young women complaining about towards men is something that happens to me all the time but with older women. Middle-aged women are 100% more direct than younger women and 100% more savage when they get rejected.

Telling me I'd look a lot cuter if I just smiled?... Asking me if I'm sick just because you think I look like shit?... Isn't that the kind of stuff that pisses women off? So why the hell are you doing it to me. Haven't you learnt from all the times' men did it to you and it pissed you off?...

This happens A LOT. So it makes me think, at the end of the day, a lot of poor behaviour we ascribe to men is really just shitty human behaviour that both sexes are guilty of.

Dumbest shit McDonald's made me do when I was in college
Tldr; McDonald's incentivized their own well being to encourage workers that hate the fuck out of them to work harder.

So when I was a freshmen in college, I worked at McDonald's right. And for some reason fast-food restaurants think that querying customers to try their new bullshit doesn't annoy the fuck out of them and encourages them to buy.

We the employees who were not as dumb as the fucking management (well I'm an engineer now but I was a pretty fucking dumb college kid and McDonald's employee) knew that bullshit don't work and would just not do it whenever boss wasn't looking right.

So one day the dumbass boss gets this great idea for fucking promoting their new strawberry pie. They make us wear a fucking button that reads "if I don't offer you a pie, you get one free".

The idea is that if we employees fail to harass our customers with new products, the company loses profit and that should encourage us to work harder.

How fucking conceited are you McDonald's? I was making minimum fucking wage and you make millions. Do you think i give a flying fuck if you lose what is essentially pocket change from your point of view? You are among the most hated corporation in America despite how successful you are. I certainly didn't enjoy working there when I did. Nobody else gave a fuck about McDonald's besides their paycheck. What made you think that idea wasn't going to poke a giant hole into your profits? The only thing that fucking saved you was that only 1in 1000 drive through customers knew how to read, and out of them, only a total of 4 people cared enough to actually call us out on not offering a pie to get one for free. Like fuck you McDonald's. You are the dumbest fucking piece of shit chain to have ever existed. Fuck you fuck you fuck you.

Just started college and I contacted a friend from high school to hang out on campus. He's not my best friend but I figured it be nice to be with someone I already know. Motherfucker ignores me for the entire day then at night calls and tells me that college is different and gives me a whole speech of how I have to act differently if I want to hang out with him. Among other things he tells me, I can't be "racist using the n word" because that shit isn't going to fly with him. NIGGA I'M FUCKING BLACK, I've been saying nigga since I was in elementary school and I'll say nigga whenever the fuck I feel like. Who the fuck are you to tell me what the fuck I can or can't say. Who the fuck do you think you are that you can tell me how to behave. Tired of people saying ‘why are you quiet, talk more!’
I know I’m quiet, I’m well aware of it. I’ve had high anxiety all my life and have been to many psychologists in the past about me being quiet. In our modern society, cell phones are a necessity, not a luxury.
My dad seems to be under the impression that a phone is a luxury, but I'd love to see how a person without a phone who is just starting out can do.

I've created a situation to show how impossible it would be to live without a smartphone or computer, look at it this way:

-you are young, little to no job experience and you are just starting out.

First task: finding a job

Let's say you want a job at McDonalds, sounds easy enough, right? So what do you do? Walk in and asking for an application...duh?

So you walk in and ask the person at the counter. They say: "sorry, all of our applications are online. Just go to ___ website"

Well shit, what now? Maybe you can go to the local library? But where is the library? I've never been there, never had to go, always had my school library, but now I graduated and dont have access to it.

Well maybe use a map! -but this isnt the 80s or 90s anymore, no one uses them, so good luck finding one.

Maybe... ask someone for directions? This could work, assuming that the person you ask knows where it is, but if you dont, why would they? And most people would be skeptical of someone coming up and asking for directions because who asks strangers for directions anymore? Most interactions take place online, anyone who falls out of that norm is strange and not one to be trusted.

It would be easier if you just had google maps, but if you had a phone to use this wouldnt be an issue in the first place.

Let's say you make it to the library anyways and fill out an application. Now you have to put in your phone number, but you dont have a cell phone, do you have a house phone? I don't. Let's say you buy a house phone, now you have to stay home and wait for them to call you back. But that's time you could be using to apply to more places, too bad. You should have done that while you were in the library.

You could let it go to voicemail, but missing a call can seem unprofessional, they want to hire someone they can easily contact, and there are plenty of other people who will get back swiftly because they all have cellphones.

Let's say you are driving home from the library after filling out the application and you lose control of your car and hit a tree, how do you call the police or your family? I havent seen a payphone since 2008, so good luck using one of those.

It may not be impossible, but it surely makes it significantly difficult, and puts you at a massive disadvantage compared to others.

American living in Japan.
I recently saw a fellow American who also lives in Japan blogging on YouTube about her life in here. She wears very revealing clothing in public, some outfits even showing her full breasts and nips. I’m from California, so is she. You can kinda wear this type of clothing there in larger cities and it’s pretty much fine. ‘Free the nip’ is an existing movement in California. BUT NOT IN JAPAN. She constantly complains and makes videos about how she is getting really negative reactions in public and experiencing harassment. People go on to comment about japan being ‘toxic’. This is a completely different country. People do NOT dress like that here. You must understand it’s two completely different cultures.

Dont try to shame people for not leaving a bigger tip.
My boyfriend decided to order a pizza for dinner from a popular pizza chain. He had enough points online for a free pizza so he used them and also got a drink. The app allows you to leave a tip, but the only options were 10 and 15%. We didnt have any cash so he chose 15. The delivery guy gets to the door, hands over the food (he forgot the drink), and says, "pretty skimpy on the tip huh?". My BF looks at him and says sorry the app only let me give 15%. The guy replies, "wow so thats all youre gonna give me?".

Are you fucking kidding me? We didnt have to leave you a tip at all. Especially when you didnt even bring the entire order. In all my years of working in food service (most of which were tipped positions) I have never once tried to make someone feel bad about the amount they tip me. Tip me $1? Cool. Tip me $10. Awesome. No extra cash for a tip? No problem i get it.

Shaming a customer to their face for how much tip they give you is unacceptable.

Edit: he called and told them about the encounter and that they forgot to bring his drink. The manager sounded pissed. She said he was getting a full refund (including the tip) and they were sending someone out with the drink. My BF didnt even care about the money. He wouldn't have even mentioned the rude comment if i hadnt made him. He just wanted his sprite.

Seriously tired of Baby Boomers’ shit.
My mom is visiting and telling me about how when she went to the art museum, she was talking to another boomer about how the local university offers free classes over a certain age. I don’t know why this struck a nerve with me, but I muttered “Yeah the generation that hiked up tuition and is against loan forgiveness because #Socialism is getting free classes, fucking hooray.” She snipes back “Well if you think free tuition is the way to go, let me tell you how...” and proceeds to go on a rant about how socialism ruined Europe or something.

I’m just so fucking sick of their entitlement and lack of self awareness. I went to law school and I will probably be in debt till the day I die (and after, since that shit does not go away after your death- good luck future hubby!) Yes, that was my choice. No I would not do it over again, because I’ve achieved a dream career and I’m super happy where I am professionally. I’ve kind of made peace with the fact that I will be in debt for the majority of my adult life, and I’m gonna try to make it work no matter what, but you know what y’all? I fucking resent that I’ve had to tell myself “Well you’ll probably have debt forever,” and plan my life around that fact, just because I wanted to be an attorney and there was no other way.

And then these boomers have the goddamn audacity to come along and sneer at lowering tuition or loan forgiveness and then be like “Lol I’m off to my FREE college class!” FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK off. Fuck ALL the way off.
