Shiny Den Hunting Method For Sword & Shield (December 19)

TO SOLVE CONFUSION, HERE IS THE WHOLE PROCESS INCLUDING REPEATING IT AFTER THE FIRST TIME. I think I’ve got it described in detail. The process also doesn’t REQUIRE friends, but it makes it WAY simpler to have at least one friend. This is what to do:

-Spam for a purple raid in a den you care about, same way as we’ve always done it.

-Once you get a rare purple den, SAVE. If today is Dec. 18th, I would then open up a VS ranked battle, forfeit it, and I can then begin moving the day forward 3 days, one day at a time. Click den, open system settings, change date one day forward, go back to game, close den. Repeat until at Dec 21. If I do not find a shiny on Dec 21, I will then close my game after entering the raid and not finding a shiny, which will revert the game’s state back to Dec 18th again (but not my system’s calendar, it will still read the 21st).

-Upon re-entering the game, I will move the game forward another day and SAVE. As far as the game’s state goes, this is now essentially Dec 19th, even though my system calendar will now read Dec 22nd. I will then attempt for a shiny again by moving forward one day at a time 3x until my system calendar says 25th. Check for a shiny. Rinse and repeat until I find a shiny, always saving only on “Day 1” of the process, never day 4.

-ONCE I FIND THE SHINY, I do NOT WANT TO SAVE. I will invite a friend who I can trade with and let them do the raids. After an attempt at a shiny day 4 raid, I allow them to try and catch, and I will reset by closing the game, bringing me back to the day 1 and move forward 3 days again. However—

-This will re-roll what is in that den, but it will be a guaranteed shiny, regardless of what Pokémon from the den shows up. We can do this many times until my friend has at least 2x of the shiny/shinies I want, and then I get them to trade me the duplicates.

ONLY IF ALONE:
-If I am playing solo, I will have no choice but to go into the den, hope for a shiny, and if it isn’t, close the game and repeat this process until I find a shiny. Once I do, I would have to revert back to day one, move forward, and then once I get to day four, I could check what the Mon is until the raid has the one I want, knowing that whatever it is, it will be shiny assuming I did everything correctly. Save on day four ONLY once the den has the Mon I want, and repeat doing the raid until I catch it. Once I catch it, I will have to save, the  retry from the very beginning  AGAIN, hoping on a different shiny.
