PlayStation 5 latest 3 (final comment)

My opinion - PS5 design swing heavily on need for backward compatibility. Simply cannot afford to not have it with Xbox pressure.

Sony work closely with AMD to ensure direct hardware compatibility with PS4. MS have advantage here due to both software expertise and also future planning. They can more easily use different hardware and handle BC with software layer.

PS5 idea more like PS4 Pro. This is good too but more restrictions on new hardware choices I think.

Also my bet is PS5 will be retail 400 US again. Some word that PS5 was meant for 2019 but I don’t know if true. It would make sense though.

Again I think BC has been headache for Sony. Limited the design choice so they have to choose high clock speeds for good performance and close enough to Xbox.

Dev kit design that people see is for thermals. Interesting to see retail model but should be okay.

As said before I cannot give beta kit spec, too risky. Sony trying hard to control messaging.
