Hi, my name is Ryan Pettis and I will he talking to you all today about my journey to be a confirmand. One of my earliest memories of being in confirmation was a team building exercise involved with shaving cream, yes shaving cream. I remember having so much fun and I ended up getting it all over me and having to wash it off and that was only one good memory out of several that I have had throughout this journey to become a confirmand at Farmington Lutheran,   A verse I have learned to know and love is Deuteronomy 1:31. It says, “There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”  What that verse means to me is that God will be by your side no matter what.  He will pick you up and carry you if needed through your toughest times.  He will also walk alongside you during the good times - but he will always be with you!
