#1: INTRODUCTION

My name is Francine West, and I am beginning to fear that I am the only sane one left at the end of the world.

I know only that I know so little. I have devoted my life to study, and this new world has allowed me to pursue the task of being a student of existence itself.

I found it odd, how people could become content with the breadth of knowledge they'd accumulated. They'd reach a certain points and simply...stop.

I am no genius. I am no one special. I am a simple human, with a simple wish. I want to KNOW.

What else could be so pure?

It came to me in a dream, the system administrator of this grand game. 'Mother,' it calls itself. It came with a binary choice and, never being ford of those, I inquired as to alternatives. After a lengthy discussion, I relented to choose the first of the options presented me. The ability modification was intriguing, but it was the offer of information that delighted my senses.
