  25. == Start and End points ==
  26. The START point should be the moment the timer begins running for one of the players (there's different amounts of lag, so whoever starts first). You can start a second or two earlier, but not too much earlier because in general we want the videos to start right when the action begins.
  27.
  28. The END point should be:
  29. * When the commentators sign off, or when we switch over to the new commentary team.
  30. * If there's another race from the SAME tournament afterwards, end it when the timer begins to run for the NEXT match (right where you'll be putting the start point for the next highlight, so that people watching these in the playlist will be able to hear the in-between stuff).
  31. * If there's a long gap without any commentary between matches you don't need to include the gap. Just end it when the commentators finish talking, then begin the next highlight as normal when the timer starts running for the next race.
  32.
  33. == After you've made the highlight, EXPORT it to YOUTUBE ==
  34. You should click the "Export" button immediately after making the highlight.
  35. Then you can copy the link to the TWITCH highlight and paste that into the schedule spreadsheet in the "Restream" column. This lets us know which highlights have been done, and it's a good index to find all the Twitch vods.
  36.
  37. == TIPS ==
  38. * Be careful you don't miss any or else they will be lost. We keep track of which matches have been highlighted and exported by pasting a link to the twitch highlight into the "Restream" column of the schedule spreadsheet (replacing whatever was in that cell). You can unhide the rows with the past matches by clicking the little arrow along the left margin at the spot where the hidden rows should be. Send me a DM in discord with your email so you can have permission to edit the spreadsheet. Some of the matches might have been no-shows or cancellations or were streamed to a different channel. If you can't find one of the matches send me a DM in discord with the missing match info so we can keep track of which ones need finding or grabbing from other channels.
  39. * Try to get the spelling and capitalization of the players' names right. If you want a definitive answer about capitalization you can go to their twitch profile.
  40. * Thanks for being great and volunteering to highlight matches! Many people will only get to see the tournament via the VODs, so this is an important job.
