- "And with that, ladies and gentleelves, let us begin!" Daeron raised his mug of ale high in the air to deafening cheers from hundreds, maybe a thousand, elves. Mugs clashed and ale flew, and everyone took a deep gulp before letting out another boisterous shout.
- The six protagonists of our tale stood near one of the serving tables, doing their best to avoid any small talk with the elves who for the most part wanted them dead, in the case of Golios and Amy, or gone, in the case of everyone not named To'mas. To'mas stood there because the idea of talking to any of his kin while they drank frankly upset him to even imagine. Rickert chugged down his mug and let out a satisfied breath. "Hey this stuff's pretty good. I'm getting another."
- "Now slow down there Ricky," Rafa said. "Let's think about what Shai would want us to do in a situation like this." Rickert gave Rafa a puzzled look while Rafa downed his mug and reached for another. "He'd want me to out-drink you kid, bring it on. WOOOOOOOOO" He shouted before starting into the second mug.
- "Son of a bitch you aren't beating me." Rickert started on his second, in what down the road would be remembered fondly as "The Rafa/Rickert contest," famous now to both elves and men. That, however, is not the story we are here to tell today.
- Daeron, with a swath of beautiful women in his wake, made his way to the party. "Greetings, fellows. A burden now rests on your shoulders, and I hear from the council you set out tomorrow at dawn! Exciting. You have caused my brothers a great deal of pain, but I know you were manipulated in your actions. Fear not! I'm sure you can all make it right."
- "How can you be so calm? These men have done nothing but evil, they still have crimes to pay for." To'mas looked at Daeron with a serious expression.
- "To'mas, if you're going to be on the council, you need to learn to lighten up. A lot of horribly serious things are going to come before you, and if you don't learn to relax, well you're going to end up like Arya. Pretty on the outside, less so on the inside. Trust me on that one," he leans in, whispering to the group, "I've seen both." He winks and laughs and makes his way away from them with his small harem, as the group stands there with faces of various expressions. Rickert and Rafa continue drinking.
- (The party continued on into the night. All the council was there bar Aegnor, who left back for the front lines shortly after your trial. The non-elven guests had also made themselves scarce. If there is anyone you'd like to speak to while at the party, message me and we'll get it sorted out before you set off next session).
