Reserve Bank of St. Louis). In 1992, 18% of jobs requirred a Bachelor degree, in 2016, 25%. In 1992,
9% of jobs required an advanced degree, in 2016, 14%. In 1992 36% of jobs ONLY required a high school
diploma, in 2016, 26% (Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics). Jobs necessating a master's degree
will grow 3x as fast as jobs that only requuire a high school diploma (Souruce: BLS). in 2018, 91% of
jobs held by those >25 are filled by those with at least a bachelor's degree (Source: Labor Department).
More employers are requiring bachelor degrees
for jobs that traditionally did not quire them (known as "degree inflation").
