  1. **```As previously mentioned, ๐š๐๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ writers are preferred. Proper spelling and grammar as well as decent sentence structure, ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ necessary to get approved for roleplay. Please don't take it personally. We have nothing against rookies, but for the sake of immersion there is a standard of literacy that we wish to uphold in this particular server. There are plenty of other servers to choose from if you favour leniency. Here are some tips to consider before you apply:```**
  2.
This alone should speak for itself. It doesn't matter how ๐˜ฎ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ you write here, just that you write well enough so that others can easily understand the picture you're trying to paint. Repetitive rambling and shoving in big words you don't know the meaning of to fluff your paragraphs doesn't quite equate to literacy, you see.
  4.
In your responses, give your writing partner(s) enough information to stay interested and continue smoothly. Don't just spend the entire interaction _reacting_ to everything they say and do. We aren't here to roleplay with ourselves, right? You will drive your partner away by not giving back the effort youโ€™re given. The same dialogue day after day, reply after reply, can grow incredibly tedious. A storyline filled with dramatic highs and lows will not only make your storylines more interesting, itโ€™ll also help you develop your character. I'm expecting you to _try._

  7. โ€ข ๐–๐Ž๐”๐‹๐ƒ, ๐–๐Ž๐”๐‹๐ƒ, ๐–๐Ž๐”๐‹๐ƒ. We ask that you please write in _past-tense_ and avoid overusing _would_ when doing so.

  10.
Be sure to mention what your character can _see, hear, smell, taste and touch,_ but do not maunder on and on about it either. Break up what your character is experiencing _between_ what is simultaneously being said and done by them.
  12.
  13. โ€ข ๐๐‘๐Ž๐Ž๐… ๐‘๐„๐€๐ƒ. Every writer makes mistakes, but every great writer understands the critical importance of editing. Typos do not reflect upon your ability to write, but your ability to proof read. Donโ€™t submit a response before _thoroughly_ reading it over a few times yourself. Too many mistakes can make you look sloppy and it cripples immersion for the reader.
  14.
  15. โ€ข ๐€๐•๐Ž๐ˆ๐ƒ ๐–๐€๐‹๐‹๐’. Break up your paragraphs. Without spaces to separate large chunks of text, readers will find themselves facing an imposing **wall** and will be reluctant to hurdle it. What's more, if they happen to look away from the post for any reason, it'll be quite difficult to pick up where they left off. Thus, breaking your story up into manageable pieces is vital if you want to retain the attention of your audience.
  16.
To be approved for a canon, depicting **their** personality and mannerisms in your sample **must** be relatively accurate. Behave in a way that makes sense for the character to say and do, not by how _you_ would like them to react. Character development is always welcome, but please avoid suddenly changing a canon's habits to conveniently fit the occasion. You wouldn't see a Katsuki frolicking through a flowerbed or Deku bullying someone, would you?
  18.
  19. โ€ข ๐€๐๐๐‘๐Ž๐•๐€๐‹. After submitting your sample, you will know if you're approved or not within **24 hours.** You will judged based on both your ability to convey the characters correctly, and also your ability to write comprehensively. If declined, you will be allowed only **two** more tries. I won't reject someone over and over again, that's awkward.
  20.
  21. **```That's enough of stating the obvious, don't you agree? You get the idea of what we're looking for, so let's continue. Once you are approved for roleplay, keep the following in mind:```**
  22.
Mature scenarios that involve murdering NPC civilians, torture, sexual harassment, terrorism, suicide, etc, **are** permitted. Rape and sexual _assault_ however, is **prohibited.** Torture must be done within reason and the victim must be able to continue RP after the scenario with **all body parts** still functional and intact _unless_ they consent to being a vegetable. Similarly, you can not **permanently disfigure** them without permission either.
  24.
You are only allowed **two** canons, and only _after_ you prove that you can handle more than one at a time. Similarly, **two** original characters only-- unless you can prove that you have the time and energy to have more.
  26.
New characters should plan for long term growth in the server. You should not join the server and immediately expect to be a crime lord that runs the city.
  28.
Most writers know what these terms mean, but for those that need clarification-- Meta gaming is the act of using **out of character** obtained information, _things your character should not know,_ to your advantage. God modding is controlling someone else's character without their permission. Auto-ing is performing an action without giving the affected players the option to respond. Go into detail with your actions, emphasize specifics.
  30.
  31. โ€ข ๐‘๐ƒ๐Œ. Random deathmatching is **not** permitted. You are expected to engage in a scenario before attempting to attack, kill, or hit another character.
  32.
  33. โ€ข ๐‚๐‘๐ˆ๐Œ๐„. Villainous characters committing crimes towards other players and NPCs alike should do so in a reasonable fashion. Try to steer away fromย _excessive_ย amounts of kidnapping, mugging, or assaults without a good reason. Why? Well, if you end up in Tartarus.. good luck escaping.
  34.
If there is a scene you would like to join, you must ask **everyone** in the scene for permission _first_ before you will be allowed to join.
  36.
If there are parties willing to have their character killed, inform an admin and we will monitor the scene. Be sure you are fully prepared to lose your character **permanently** before you agree, because it **can not be undone.**
  38.
  39. โ€ข ๐Ž๐. When creating an original character, **do not** make your character over powered or give them **more than one quirk.** If we find that your character violates this rule, you will be asked to alter it accordingly. If you fail to make the appropriate changes, your character will be **declined** and unable to participate until we can come to a mutual agreement somewhere.
  40.

  42.
  43.
These are specific types of characters that have many feats but lack flaws. A Mary-Sue is a character (of any gender, age, race, or species) who fits one or more of these descriptions: A character whoโ€™s too perfect, lacking realistic or logical flaws, or whose flaws do not affect them in any ways. A character whoโ€™s exactly like their creator, except idealized or made โ€œbetterโ€. A character whoโ€™s far too powerful, especially whose abilities exceed that which is possible for his/her race in the setting of the story. Particularly if said character has abilities that do not exist within the boundaries of the storyโ€™s world. Most importantly, a clichรฉ character having qualities or characteristics that are overused by people trying to have a powerful/perfect/edgy character.
