What Came First: The Chicken or the Egg?

The answer to this age-old riddle lies in evolution. The egg came first!

Why? Because long before the modern chicken existed, its ancestors were laying eggs. Through gradual changes and natural selection, these creatures eventually evolved into what we now recognize as chickens. So, technically, the egg containing the first true chicken was laid by a bird that wasn't quite a chicken yet. Therefore, the egg predates the chicken!
