Samurai World (CyberSamurai): Red Horn Village (3 sessions)

Introduction: It has been 320 years since the fall of feudalism in Rokugan. Clan-corporations rule over society with an iron fist, working together as part of the "Corporate Alliance". Greed and ambition threaten to undermine the Alliance though, as the clan-corp seeks to maximize their own personal power. Yet, tradition and honor still remain intact...for without tradition and honor, what would be the point of power?

As Alliance Magistrates, you must enforce the will of the Corporate Alliance, while balancing your personal desires and your social obligations to your clan-corporation. Will you succeed, or will you fail like so many before you?

Mission: Red Horn Village is reportedly the birthplace of a revolutionary movement that overthrew the feudal landlords of the past. Recently, a famous historian went missing, and the local authorities cannot be trusted. It's up to you to investigate the matter and discover the truth, no matter how unpleasant.

Rules: "Samurai World" is a "Powered By the Apocalypse" hack of "Legend of the Five Rings" (a "fantasy samurai" RPG), inspired by Dungeon World. We will be playing in the "CyberSamurai" setting...a futuristic version of Rokugan where feudalism has been abolished and the Rokugani clan-corporations work together under the banner of the "Corporate Alliance". Players participate in a short campaign in Red Horn Village, featuring mechanics that will make the game easy to learn and understand. This is "drop-in, drop-out", so you can stay for only one session, or play in all three! Join us, as we explore the rules of "Samurai World".

Our sessions will be recorded to help the GM out, but they will not be made public without explicit permission. (Ideally, we can get Google Hangouts to record our sessions for us. However, just in case, please download Audacity to record your audio separately and share it with me after the game is complete.)

Rokugan is a fantasy setting inspired by eastern culture and myth but does not represent an actual place or people.
