  1. PLEASE NOTE: If you are wanting to go from MHGen > MHX for MHXX, it's just as simple as exporting the ExtData from MHGen and simply importing it into MHX, no conversions needed!
  2. HOWEVER!!! If you do that without any prior preparation, choosing the Event tab in MHX after the transfer will cause the game to crash. This prior preparation? It's simple, delete the MHGen DLC BEFORE you export the Gen save using this https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-mhx-data-manager.434848/
  3. Then just simply export from Gen and straight into X and you can still play the DLC quests. Happy hunting!

  15. THE STEPS BELOW ARE FOR USING JKSM. IF SOMEONE USED SDF INSTEAD PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I'LL ADD APPROPRIATE STEPS
  16.
  17. Step 1: Use JKSM to extract the ExtData of MHX and copy that from your SD card to your PC (also extract the ExtData for MHGen, this'll make a later step easier)
  18. Step 2: Extract the Release.zip file into a folder on your PC
  19. Step 3: Copy the 'system' file from ExtData to that folder
  20. Step 4: Drag and drop the 'system' file onto cgen.exe
  21. Step 5: Grab the two output files from the Out folder and put them into the JKSM ExtData folder on your SD card that you created for MHGen in step 1
  22. Step 6: Open JKSM back up and import the extdata to MHGen
  23. Step 7: Enjoy!
