Yeah, I'm worried he's very uncollectible. Very, very uncollectible.

His name is William "Bill" Arthur Love Jr.
I do not know his address and he presented himself as an independent plumber. No listing for him in the Indiana PLA check, which I didn't check until after because I'm a dumbass.

He bumped into my framing contractor at a supply house; contractor had worked on previous jobs that he plumbed at and said he seemed to do good work and would probably be more affordable than the bids I had received. He came out, gave a pretty competitive bid and decided to go with him.

The scope of work was expected to be 9000-15000 and we were going to do supplies + hourly time and labor as payment arrangement. Supplies expected to cost approximately 3,000-4000.

Timeline of events and payments is roughly this:

Began to run some pex plumbing.
1000	6/3 -- Check
Leak on sewer outflow, claimed would need to trench backyard and dig up line to repair. Would need to dig masonry wall and replace connection through. Dug small hole by hand, never repaired connection through.
650	6/7 -- Check
Materials on HVAC ducting connections.
200	6/12 -- Cash
Payment for additional HVAC materials.

Contractor and a second plumber to visit now estimate he's done approximately 250-500 dollars of work and has been coming, laying his tools out, taking old metal of the house and not doing much of anything.

He's also failed to deliver any of the expensive materials purchased -- or at least I paid for and he claimed to have purchased (eg. tankless water heater, water softener).

To make matters worse, checks were made to a Nicole Smith that was with him during most of this work. She didn't seem to actually perform any labor and was just with him, typically sitting in their vehicle.

I know, I'm a naively trusting dumbass.
