  2. When you say hate groups, do you mean hate groups as defined by the extremely biased SPLC?
  3.
  4. splodey-goat
  5. I mean hate groups as defined by common sense.
  6.
  7. thecybersmith
  8. That isn't objective.
  9.
  10. splodey-goat
  11. He has spoken in support of honest-to-god self-proclaimed neo-nazis
  12. true objectivity is impossible but I feel like after a certain point there's no excuse.
  13.
  14. thecybersmith
  15. He said that some of theme might have been fine people. He's trying to be diplomatic.
  16.
  17. splodey-goat
  18. there is no such thing as a neo-nazi who's a "fine person"
  19.
  20. splodey-goat
  21. By not explicitly and harshly calling out neo-nazi behavior he enables neo-nazis by allowing them to think what they're doing is acceptable in the public eye.
  22. There is no "but" here, the Charlotesville riots, both of them, were organized by nazis for nazis, attended by people wearing nazi parephrenalia and shouting nazi slogans.
  23.
  24. splodey-goat
  25. You can have whatever opinions you have about the counter-protesters and their actions, but to say that their actions were equal to the actions of literal goddamned nazis only makes nazis feel safer and everyone nazis are against (so basically almost everyone) less
  26.
  27. splodey-goat
  28. Come on mr enlightened, don't have a response?
  29.
  30. splodey-goat
  31. Just gonna ignore this one too, right? That'd be easier than confronting the cognitive dissonance of admitting you've supported someone who tacitly supports genocide, after all.
  32.
  33. thecybersmith
  34. I was in the shower!
  35.
  36. splodey-goat
  37. Well you can't blame me for thinking it.
  38.
  39. thecybersmith
  40. Seriously mate, just because I do ten minutes without answered doesn't mean I concede!
  41.
  42. splodey-goat
  43. It wouldn't be out of character of you to ignore your critics.
  44.
  45. thecybersmith
  46. Trump has to try to heal the river, not widen it.
  47.
  48. splodey-goat
  49. letting nazis take a stronger foothold is not "healing" anything
  50.
  51. thecybersmith
  52. He has to be above that sort of thing.
  53.
  54. THIS is why I support the idea off a monarch. The head of state NEEDS to be nonpartisan.
  55.
  56. splodey-goat
  57. Anyone who can't take a stance as simple as disavowing actively genocidal groups is either genocidal themselves or has as much backbone as a chocolate eclair, and either way I wouldn't call them fit to rule.
  58. Are you fucking for real, dude
  59. Monarchs are inherently self-interested.
  60.
  61. thecybersmith
  62. No they aren't. Some monarchs have DIED for their people.
  63.
  64. splodey-goat
  65. That doesn't mean monarchism is inherently good.
  66. If you give too much power to one person there's nothing to stop them from doing whatever the hell they want.
  67. a king refusing to disavow nazis would be even *worse* than the president refusing to.
  68.
  69. thecybersmith
  70. I don't want a tyrannical monarch. I don't support ABOLUTE power for the monarch.
  71.
  72. splodey-goat
  73. Please note the Trump discussion isn't over either.
  74. You've unilaterally failed to display why not disavowing nazis is an even remotely okay thing to do.
  75. If you want a monarch with conditions then it doesn't need to be monarch now does it?
  76.
  77. thecybersmith
  78. Those Nazis were law abiding citizens of The Land Of The Eagle.
  79.
  80. splodey-goat
  81. they were NAZIS
  82. The counterprotesters were law-abiding citizens, too, dumbass.
  83.
  84. thecybersmith
  85. The British Monarchy is not absolute. You're conflating Monarchy with Tyranny.
  86.
  87. splodey-goat
  88. You're conflating monarchy with "I want a dictatorship but I know people will call me out if I say I want a dictatorship"
  89. The British monarchy has no political power. You could remove the royal family entirely and not disrupt the actual inner workings of the government
  90.
  91. splodey-goat
  92. Donald J Trump, when asked *specifically* if he would speak against the advocation of genocide in America, refused to answer.
  93. That's not something you do unless you're cool with genocide.
  94.
  95. thecybersmith
  96. DO NOT BLASPHEME! THE MONARCHY KEEPS BRITANNIA STRONG!!!
  97.
  98. splodey-goat
  99. and I'm sure you can prove that empirically, not just with a gut reaction of nationalism.
  100. If monarchies are so fucking great why has virtually every monarchy in history either been disbanded or demoted to the position of figurehead?
  101. If your model of an ideal monarchy is one in which the monarch doesn't actually *do* anything other than exist, that's kind of a self-defeating argument.
  102.
  103. thecybersmith
  104. BECAUSE THE ILLUMINATI WANTED US TO BE WEAK! THEY RADICALISED SMALL GROUPS OF MALCONTENTS TO DISRUPT STABLE SYSTEMS!
  105. You present a false dichotomy. THere is a middle ground between nothing and aboslute power.
  106.
  107. splodey-goat
  108. k but you just used the British monarchy as an example of a good monarchy
  109. which is a zero-power monarchy
  110. ey but you know what?
  111.
  112. thecybersmith
  113. Not a perfect one. I wish our monarch had more power shan she does now.
  114.
  115. splodey-goat
  116. Fuck you
  117.
  118. thecybersmith
  119. I thingk we hist the sweet spot in the late 18 hundreds.
  120.
  121. splodey-goat
  122. I've had my fun but I'm not gonna spend a second more talking to someone so far gone that they think we need kings to protect us from a conspiracy theory
