Haeyeon was born and raised in busan, south korea. her family consisted of her parents and older brother. her parents were always very busy with work. so due to that the two siblings usually depended on each other since their parents barely had time for them. haeyeon's older brother, Jinyeong, were very close and are basically each other's other piece. The two are still close with their parents and now usually have time to bond as a family. haeyeon's school life was normal and she was always the top of her class. but she didn't have many friends due to her shyness. as time passed she got a hold of her feelings and can usually hold back her anger, but sometimes it just comes out. haeyeon discovered singing when she was in elementary when she joined choir and got complimented on her voice.
from then on she kept practicing and practicing until she reached high school. when she started high school she was again part of the choir and all other music related activities. she also made sure to learn a few intruments including piano and violin. since then she's been passionate about music and wanted to do it for the rest of her life and that's when she auditioned and immediately got scouted.
