  1. Pizza’s Judgement of Corvette vs. Liven
  2.
  3. Sabretooth vs. KGBeast:
  4.
  5. Sabretooth had better and more consistent strength feats than KGBeast. KGBeast was only maybe as strong as him if you took everything Liven argued as fact. But Liven's interpretations, of the concrete breaking feats, were unimpressive, and seemed below Sabretooth's wall breaking feats.
  6.
  7. Sabretooth's speed scaling to bullet timers was consistent, while KGBeast only scaled to a Batman that Liven failed to argue was not slow. The sentence:
  8.
  9. “The phrasing suggests bullet dodging over aim dodging; firing where he “was” implies Batman “was” there when the bullet was fired.”
  10.
  11. is a foolish one. The additional scans did not seem like believable bullet timing either. Nor did the scans of KGBeast beating up mooks, which, frankly, weren’t speed feats at all. Meanwhile, Corvette fairly successfully cast doubt on KGBeast’s speed with the Nightwing encounter.
  12.
  13. Liven did not successfully argue against the simple win condition that Sabretooth overpowers KGBeast in strength and speed and slices him to pieces. The argument that bullet-invulnerability equals piercing resistance doesn’t mean much when the point is that Sabretooth’s piercing is greater than bullets, while Sabretooth's healing factor seemed enough to ignore KGBeast's shots, if he would even get hit much.
  14.
  15. Liven’s greatest mistake in this matchup is that, when already going second, he used his first response to mostly just rebut a few small statements Corvette made, instead of presenting his own strong argument about what would happen. Rather than argue that KGBeast would win, he merely argued that KGBeast could keep up and that Corvette was underselling him. His second biggest mistake was falling for the trap argument, wasting time arguing about the irrelevant hogwash that is KGBeast’s stupidity.
  16.
  17. Sabretooth > KGBeast.
  18.
  19. Hydracap vs. Boney Wolverine:
  20.
  21. Much like with the first matchup, this was one where Corvette immediately took control with a strong argument, and Liven played catchup without a strong argument of his own. The fact of the matchup is that, as Corvette put it, this is nerfed Wolverine vs. buffed Cap. Liven, frankly, just did not have a decent counterargument to this. By acknowledging that the fight in the scans showed them as near equals, he was already dancing to Corvette’s tune. The idea that Wolverine could counter this with his piercing being able to effectively take Cap out simply wasn’t supported by any feats. Cap slams him with one shield and lasers him with the other.
  22.
  23. Steve Rogers > Wolverine.
  24.
  25. Shishio Makoto vs. Zombieman:
  26.
  27. Fucking Zombieman. Kids, don't do meme picks.
  28.
  29. I’m surprised that a debate between an endurance-based character and a character with severely limited stamina didn’t actually go down the route of Shishio running out of energy, but I can see why each debater went for short-term win conditions.
  30.
  31. The fact that Shishio would immediately cut Zombieman to pieces, or send him flying, was one Liven couldn't even deny. The argument that it would take longer than 10 seconds for Zombieman to regen made sense. There are problems with using this form of incap as a win condition, but Liven didn't point any of them out.
  32.
  33. The argument that Zombieman would take advantage of this to shoot Shishio wasn't a bad one; here was where Liven did his best job of portraying his own picture of what would happen rather than chasing Corvette's. However, it fell short due to Shishio's reaction time. Liven's argument that lack of preparedness would hurt didn't seem like it would make much of a difference when the reaction gap was that big.
  34.
  35. This was the closest, and there were more things each debater could have done. And even a little bit of unintentional fuckery with the rules that makes it ambiguous. But it hardly matters much when I already judged the other two in Corvette’s favor.
  36.
  37. Shishio Makoto > Zombieman.
  38.
  39. Corvette wins 3 - 0.
